Ya'll need to watch the short "Jack Jack Attack"
It's what happened while Cary is babysitting Jack Jack, and it's amazing.
Beat me to it.
Best babysitter ever. Ptsd forever, though.
no they dont need to
@@AceMoonshot Nah, she had her memory wiped.
@@Ghostfriend7100 more like sucked out. What the Nixon look alike used on her looked like what the robot spider used in Jonny Quest.
The two old guys who say there's "no school like the old school" are Frank and Ollie. Ollie Johnston and Frank Thomas were old 2D animators and rather than retire, they learned how to do 3D animation instead. The characters are based on them and they provided the voices. Two absolute giants. ♥
They were 2 of Walt Disney’s legendary animators known as the 9 old men. In fact, the 2 of them animated more than half of the jungle book BY THEMSELVES!
The voice actor for Bomb Voyage was also one of the lead animators in The Iron Giant
I am an old lady 62 but I love this film, ❤❤
There's nothing saying that they learned 3D animation or did animation ever since they retired in the late 1970's after they did Young Tod and Young Copper for The Fox and the Hound. Not sure if they had any lectures at CalArts or anywhere else but I know Frank Thomas wrote a book about animation and they were consults for Brad Bird when he showed them storyreels of both The Iron Giant and The Incedibles.
Rest In Peace
Jean Sincere 1919-2013 she voiced the elderly lady to whom Bob pretended to deny with an insurance claim
Elizabeth Peña 1959-2014 she voiced Mirage, syndrome's right hand woman
and Bud Luckey 1934-2018 he voiced Rick Dicker
Brooo I did not know Mirage died 😢
Well it's a 20 year old film
Y'all won't live forever y'know
@@whade62000Elizabeth has been gone a while, was way too young to go. Great actress.
Bud Luckey wrote, directed and voiced the Pixar short film Boundin', which played before The Incredibles during the theatrical run. Many of the Pixar shorts are amazing in their own right, and worth a watch.
I had no idea Elizabeth Peña had died. 55 is way too young. She had a really great voice and Mirage really helped make this movie what it is.
28:51 The part that always gets me years later that I didn't think about as a kid was the first fight Mr. Incredible had with the Omnidroid near the lava field was always meant for Frozone. Frozone said earlier if he's to hot he get's dehydrated and can't use his powers. The first fight was meant for Frozone since the lava and the temperature around that field would've made him powerless but Syndrome's ultimate goal was to get to Mr.Incredible so he left Frozone alone.
Good attention to detail, amigo, you must have served in the military at one time or another, huh ???
Plus when we see mirage for the second time, it mentions that she wants to switch targets.
I love that Edna genuinely seems to care about the well being of her Supers even if she has funny ways of showing it. No capes! No matter how fashionable 😂
Dash running on the water is pure JOY!
When Dash did that, and then giggled, my (normally reserved) son jumped to his feet and screamed "YESSS" in the theater! Lol
right
@@michaelscarn007lol perfect reaction
the coming of age for both kids is so well done. Such a good movie
The guy who voices Bob’s boss is the mean short dude from ‘The Princess Bride’
‘Inconceivable!’
Wallace Shawn. :)
"My Dinner with Andre"
"Heaven Help Us"
"Clueless"
Wallace Shawn. A great actor and an incredible person.
Asia, BJ… You absolutely can’t go wrong with these animated movies from Dreamworks or Disney Pixar as they almost always are smash hits at the box office & are brilliant 👍😁. Much love to the family always… From Australia 🇦🇺 ❤️🫶🇦🇺
Yes. It was fun raising our kids on these movies. Pixar was the best. However, DreamWorks gave them a run for their money with some classics also!
@@Sekaniy … Whatever they want to churn out… I’m all for them 👍😄. My daughter (who’s almost 3) absolutely loves their movies & she just sits there transfixed & enthralled with a huge smile on her face. These movies are awesome & I can’t think of 1 that’s actually “bombed” in any way 🤔🤔🤔
This is an elite tier movie. Not just elite animation, which it is, but elite movie PERIOD. It def ranks up in my top ten of movies altogether
The Incredibles is even better to watch as an adult. It’s an incredible (pun intended) movie that covers themes of mortality, family, identity, and prejudice. Lots of fun, too. It’s not just another kids movie. It came out during Pixar’s hey-day and still lives up to this day.
Yea alot of these movies hit different once you have kids of your own for sure.
The interaction between Frozone and his wife is best part.
Agreed! My favorite line in the whole movie is: “Honey… Where-is-my-super-suit? …. Whyyy dooo you need to know?” That scene cracks me up every time.
Frozone deserves a spin-off. They gave us just enough of Frozone to leave us wanting more.
@@CalicoCooperFan I agree. I would watch that, for sure.
Frozone: It’s for the greater good
Wife: I am your wife, I’m the greatest good your ever going to get
The fact that was the last line is so realistic he knew to stop🤣
@@cetilly Tell me where my super suit is woman! Great way to bring in traditional Samuel L Jackson into a kids movie :)
The part with Frozone's interaction with the cop in the jewelry store, was a take on Samuel L. Jackson's character, Zeus', interaction with a cop in a subway station, from the film "Die Hard with a Vengeance".
Good catch. Nice call back they did there.
The character that made their suits was inspired by the most nominated person in Oscar history, Costume Designer Edith Head.
I didn't know this!
But I love that her voice was done by the movie's director Brad Bird (who also did Syndrome & Incrediboy)!
@michaelscarn007 one if my favorite facts about why Bird did the voice is the fact he'd done it for all of the storyboarding. So when it came time to cast someone, no one could possibly imagine anyone but Bird, doing the voice he'd done for Edna during the storyboarding, so they asked him to officially do it!
Omfg i just Wikipedia checked her and she really looks like it
When I contemplated a career in fashion, it was because of Edith Head. Fell in love with her designs, especially Grace Kelly's black and white dress in "Rear Window."
Syndrome was voiced by Jason Lee.
The *"Where's my super suit?"* scene is my ABSOLUTE favorite of this whole movie!! 😆😂
I wish Holly Hunter would do more movies. She’s great in everything she does.
She’s one of my favorites actors
@@vespoint what was the short lived TV show she was in where she played a cop with lots of issues?
@@laurakali6522Saving Grace
Oscar winning actress. Love her.
As long as it aint BvS. Her role in that was meh
Where did Elastagirl get the plane. Remember when she was getting ready to leave home to look for Bob...she made a call to someone (forgot the name) " I'm calling in a solid you owe me. a need a jet, something fast."
@@Kingfish888 she called her old friend snog....
“That baby has a mischievous laugh” man oh man does he lmao
I love all the old school James Bond influence on this movie. It seems so out of left field but it works so well.
All the older Pixar movies are great, Toy Story 1&2, Cars, Up, Monsters Inc, Ratatouille, Wall-E, etc
toy story 3 was amazing too. Cars is pretty Meh...a Bugs Life is way better
Incredibles 2 does not disappoint…Had to wait a decade for it but they knocked it out of the park.
His name is Bob Parr and his superhero name is Mr. Incredible. His wife’s name is Helen Parr and her superhero name is Elastigirl. Their children are Violet Parr, Dashiell “Dash” Parr, and Jack-Jack Parr. They don’t have superhero names yet.
Thanks for saving me the typing.
The boss guy had the voice of Rex from Toy Story? Inconceivable.
This NEVER gets old and you may as well not ask if you should watch the 2nd movie. Just go ahead and schedule it because it's even better!!!
YES!!!! 🙌
Nah 1st movie is definitely better
2nd one is trash
I don't know about all that. It's fine but it doesn't touch the first one.
Said no one ever...
He wasn’t just Rex from Toy Story, he was in A Princess Bride. Mr Incredible’s voice was the guy that played Coach on the show Coach.
Edna Mode is my all time favorite animated character.
right😍
ED-NA!
If you can, you should watch Jack-Jack Attack, the Pixar short with Karly the babysitter and little Jack-Jack coming into his powers at the worst time. Awesome how she copes.
Between 2006-2008 my son’s toddler years I lost track of how many times we watched this one. Also Thomas the train, RIP George Carlin!
For me the hidden details in this awesome movie are so great. For example when Mr Incredible/Bob Parr helped the old lady file her insurance suit you could see that in the sea of cubicles the absolutely BIGGEST guy was squished into the tiniest cubicle right next to the central column holding up the roof. Check the time stamp at 8:12.
There's loads of such tiny details you only notice once you watch and rewatch the movie. Considering that each and every such detail needed to be animated on computers that weren't even a 1/10th as powerful as todays it was astonishing what they succeeded at.
Edit 1: Edna Mode was modelled (pun fully intended) after a well known couturier and designer of Hollywood costumes, Edith Head. The character was voiced by Brad Bird, the writer and director of the movie. Not out of design, but simply because they didn't have a voice actor at the time, so Bird made some fill-in recordings. Everybody who heard them was instantly mesmerized and said they should retain them. After multiple voice actresses failed to even come close to the desired accent, they retaineded Bird.
In case someone has not said it yet, please react to Jack-Jack's attack!!!! And then Incredibles 2.
You know Wallace Shawn from The Princess Bride too. He played Vizzini. The one who was the mastermind of kidnapping Buttercup.
Inconceivable!
He was Rex in the Toy Story movies.
I love Holly Hunters voice and accent.
Its so distinct and recognisable
Underminer: "BEHOLD, THE UNDERMINER! I am always beneath you, but nothing is beneath me!"
Great intro! 👍👍
*Underminer
And of course, that's John Ratzenberger, who has been in about Pixar film since the beginning.
@@3DJapan .... Whoops....the transcript I cited had a typo!
@@charleshays5407 He's in ALL of them, no exceptions until he dies.
Piggy Bank in Toy Story
Manta Ray teacher in Finding Nemo
Mack Truck in Cars
Maintenance guy in Inside Out (installs the console)
Yeti in Monsters, Inc.
etc.
I wish that Incredibles 2 was about the Underminer. We have a big gopher problem.
I dashed SO FAST to click on this video... GET IT 😂😂😂😂

I love how the island is called Nomanisan…No-Man-Is-An Island
Gotta Watch “Jack Jack Attacks” a Disney shirt that shows what happened during the babysitting
Just think of the ending as a way of saying "A Superhero's work is never finished", there are always new bad guys on the rise.
33:55 Mrs. Incredible got them 🍠🍠🍠🍠's on her! Keep watching Pixar movies, you gonna notice most of the mom characters do. 😂😂😂😂
“That baby has a mischievous laugh”
You have noooo idea 😂😂😂
If you haven't seen it: "Monsters, Inc." The best Pixar film imo 💚💙
Samual L. Jackson props
the bad guy at the end the end is the Underminer. such great character design. Incredibles 2 is also excellent. This was the best super hero movie we had for a long, long time. absolutely one of my top 10 movies of all time.
Mannn😂😂 the "No Capes" stories...
half of us in the theater were LOL'N😂😂 and the rest were in "should we be laughing/is this a kids movie?" mode😂
this is one of my all-time favorite movies! such a great script, character development and musical score.... your reactions are so fun!
"whose house is this??"
EDNA MODE!.... and guest 🤣🤣
Jack Jacks power is unlimited kinda like “a jack of all trades”
Bob's boss at the insurance company was voiced by Wallace Shawn. You are correct: he also voiced the dinosaur in Toy Story. He was also Vizzini in "The Princess Bride," with his famous line: "Inconceivable!" More recently, he appeared as a recurring character on "Young Sheldon." He's a terrific character actor; I'll watch him in anything.
You gotta watch Jack Jack attack. It’s a short showing what the babysitter went through while they were gone. It’s so funny. 😂😂😂😂
At the end of the movie, The Underminer was voiced by John Ratzenberger, Cliff the Mailman from the TV show "Cheers".
The 2nd one is just as good.
The guy who voiced the insurance boss and Rex in Toy Story is Wallace Shawn, who you guys also saw in The Princess Bride (the Cicillian guy, Vizzini ("Inconceivable!"), who Inigo Montoya (Mandy Patinkin) and Fezzik (Andre the Giant) worked for at first).
Mr. Incredible/Bob Parr was Craig T. Nelson (the dad from Poltergeist)
Mr. Incredible /Helen Parr was Holly Hunter (Ed, Nichola Cage's wife in Raising Arizona).
I believe you guys said you'd recognized that Samuel L. Jackson was Frozone, but just in case you didn't...
I can't believe you cut the "flexible" part. It's so funny.
As Elastigirl flips off into the sunset, the appropriate statement is, "I hate to see her go, but love to watch her leave."
This is easily one of my favorite Disney movies ever! I love the Incredibles so much 😃
Bob Parr...aka, Mr. Incredible. Helen Parr, Elastigirl. Robert "Dash" Parr, and Violet Parr. Samuel Jackson is Frozone. Egyptian Cotton is luxurious. Syndrome is done.
Brad Bird, the writer and director - was actually the Executive Producer during 89-98 of the Simpsons; these seasons have some of the best episodes of the series. He's a great storyteller.
I LOVE that you guys are doing this. The Incredibles is gold.
Bird Bird, the director of this movie, does the voice of Edna Mode (he was only supposed to be doing it as a placeholder until they found another actor but they never found anyone they liked better so they kept it in)
Fun fact: the 1st machine with the “blue” eye was meant to fight frozone. The 2nd machine with the red eye was meant for bob. Hence the reason it was successful.
Don't forget to watch "Jack-Jack attack" too 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
I second this. It will fill in the bits when she was listening to the answering machine 😁
20 years later, it's still a classic!
Such a joy watching you enjoy the Incredibles. Thank you.
Interesting fact, the voice of Edna Mode was done by the director Brad Bird. Such a good job!!!! 😆🤣
One of my favourite animation films, for sure! And the music is a major part of its vibe - Michael Giacchino knocked it out the park.
My last car was red and I named it Dash :)
youtube algorithm brings back incredibles once again. 2000S animations just hit different
Not only is this a great animated film, but it's probably one of the greatest superhero movies of all time.
This, along with the sequel and Turning Red, are my personal favorite Pixar films!
The two old men at the end of the movie ("There's no school like old school") were voiced and made to look like Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston. Frank and Ollie were legendary animators at Disney who worked on almost every Disney animated film made between 1937 and 1981. I don't think it would make a good reaction video, but on your personal time you should watch the documentary "Frank and Ollie," about their lifelong friendship and their impact to animation.
A couple of interesting bits:
- The language Helen uses while piloting the plane is military terminology for flight, which is meant to hint at Helen's past working with the government as a super
- The reason Jack-Jack cycles through so many different powers is meant to point to the limitless possibilities possessed by babies, as opposed to the one power that Dashell has and two that Violet has (signifying the roles and personalities they've already developed)
- There's a LOT of foreshadowing used to weave the normal and the fantastic (I'm sure you noticed, for example, the moment where Bob and Dashell are playing catch leading up to where Bob throws Syndrome's remote at the end). Great use of visual storytelling
- It's mentioned in the behind-the-scenes that Snog, the man that Helen borrows the jet from, was originally supposed to be the pilot (and, obviously, a longtime friend of Helen during her superhero days and likely her government contact), but was supposed to die in the explosion. They decided to stick with just Helen and the kids because there just wasn't enough time for the audience to get invested enough in Snog to care about his demise (and, TBF, seeing Bob's reaction to his family's apparent destruction sells the entire scene)
It is partly a tribute to The Fantastic Four. With a family origin. Even the ending The Underminer is a version of The Mole Man one of the Fantastic Four's first villians. Edna was voiced by writer and director Brad Bird.
No capes !!!
Rex AND Vizzini in Princess Bride (inconceivable!) I adore Wallace Shawn
Asia and BJ's senses of humor, always so fun to watch, go PERFECTLY with this movie. And I'd guess, a lot of Pixar movies. Totally enjoyed this reaction. This is one of the best examples of Pixar movies being great for both adults and kids. PS Another vote here for you to watch the short Jack-Jack Attack (the story of what the babysitter here was doing with Jack-Jack the whole time). Thanks for posting.
I've been patient with the next Dexter ep post. Luckily, I love this movie Incredibles.
My favorite Pixar movie. This is the best Fantastic Four movie that was never made. The Underminer reminds me of the Mole Man (Fantastic Four villain). BJ called Mole Man and didn't even know how right he was. I loved the scene where Frozone was arguing with his wife trying to find his super suit. I half-expected BJ to say "Hey! That Frozone is pretty damn cool!"
This came out right after I graduated from school for 3D animation so I was really stoked for it. It instantly became my favorite Pixar movie.
OMG, what a great choice!!!
I cant wait to watch this soooo...here we go :)
19:36 oh yeah, it's on baby. I love it when BJ do dat.
Long story short I love you guys. I knew you were in for a ride. Thanks for being here.
Watch Jack-Jack attack. It shows the baby sitter trying to deal with him. ❤
You got to watch part two now!
And the short "Jack Jack"! It shows his
time with the babysitter Kari......and there's another short "Edna and Jack Jack". If you can you need to watch them too! I lived this movie.....😁👍🏼
I love this movie. And like others, I can't count how many times my kids and I watched this. So many details you catch in subsequent watchings.
I know for legal reasons you can't show the movie in is entirety, but some of the best stuff, lines, little digs, adult things that were edited out and it deserves a full watch, if you haven't already, as does the Jack, Jack short.
You two CRACK Me UP! Lol....😂
That comment about Frozone going home to his Wife Honey......her dinner party being ruined that she'd had planned for two months.....what happened when he went home. 😂
I enjoy watching you two react to movies. 🤭🤗😁👍🏼
I couldn't place anyone's voice in this movie but his 😂
The emerging villain at the end was ''The Underminer''!
Yes the dvd contained a second disk that had the short story about what happened at home while they were away and the baby was being baby-sat.
The 2nd one is definitely worth watching! Definitely not as good as this one, but still a good, fun movie
The boss (Wallace Shawn) was also Vizzini "Inconceivable!" in The Princess Bride.
TH-cam’s power couple!!
I ❤ 🫣 & BJ.
And my opinion, you haven’t finished the first Incredibles you need to watch Jack Jack. It is the other side of the phone call between the mom and the babysitter. And to be honest, it’s the absolute best.
Watch "Jack, Jack Attack", and you'll see what happened when Kary babysat. It's hilarious!
Asia, girl, you killing me with Instaboy 😂 the food themed superhero that makes sure all your processed meals are healthy and organic
I like that they have to remind you that Helen is a legit superhero, too. The mother mode kinda desensitizes you of the fact that she is actually pretty badass.
Elastigirl’s name is Helen.
Love that you’re watching this! Please do 2 also and to see Jack Jack with the sitter, please watch Jack Jack Attack.
Would be awesome if one day they made a movie about the Old School superheroes in the Incredibles' universe. Nice reactions!
I think Frozone costume is so cool. They should use it for America's speed skating Olympic uniform.
"where did she get the plane from?"
Remember she called someone to "do her a solid"?
The man that plays Mr Incredible is Craig t Nelson. you know him as the dad in Poltergeist.
Also, the voice of Edna Mode is the director of the movie, Brad Bird.
Frozone is voiced by Samuel L Jackson & he uses the same line in "Die Hard With A Vengeance" about answering the phone.
“ I’m on a fixed income” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 im dying
I like how it took the whole superhero premise and flipped it, like how much damage they cause to cities and "you didnt save my life you ruined my death" haha There are so many superhero movies that destroy whole cities and (other than Marvel) don't really address that. Edna Mode is a legend... "I never look back darling, it distracts from the now" YES! words to live by! The voice playing her is the writer of the show.
Other great animated movies.... Finding Nemo/Dory, Encanto, Moana, Coraline, Wish, How to train your dragon, Ratatouille, Monsters Inc, Up, Big Hero 6, Wall-E, Lilo & Stitch, A Bug's Life, I could go on haha. As far as TV shows, Star Wars Clone Wars is really great at telling the story of how Anakin turned into Vader if you have time for a tv series (it's also animated) and I would also check out Kenobi for more great Vader storyline. If there are any of these you haven't seen yet I would recommend checking them out and also finishing the Incredibles series!
Asia, Mr. Incredible's boss is also the short bad guy in "The Princess Bride".😉 He is actor Wallace Shawn.
Childhood favorite movie ❤
BJ: “Regular’deckular boy!”
This is the best animated superhero spy movie ever made. Stuporduck meets James Bond. Incredible.
