The upcoming generation wants communism and I think they will succeed after we are all gone. We old people can only hold the line for so long. They are too infantile to have freedom anyway, so it might be for the best. No more riots, burning police stations, disrespecting your teachers, theft, litter, graffiti, destroying public property, homelessness, or drug addiction (no drugs at all). As a Gen Z who has since enlisted in the Marines, and wears the same dress blues as this late Sgt, I can tell you that the burden of responsibility of defending our core values as a nation is all the more stressful. Especially considering most of my peers wouldn't give a rat's ass about what me and my brothers and superiors are doing to keep our communities and our families (all of which we've left behind to serve) safe against our adversaries foreign and domestic.
Well, I hope they all sleep peacefully tonight as they enjoy their parents and their siblings, and go to their friends homes and drive around their nice neighborhoods and go to Church every Sunday. All of those things are privileges that me and my fellow servicemen have given up... and work everyday to defend while away from home.
I'm happy that at least there are some in my generation who still give a damn about the men who I am now humbled to say I walk beside in this hallowed service. For our Nation. For each other. For us all.

@gjaegreag You really think that the generations of WW2 faced the same upbringings, had the same opinions and mentalities, and the same problems of today?
You don’t think that social media and the internet as a whole has changed or degraded our new generations’ attention spans or thought processes? Because I agree with the age old phrase, “Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. Weak men create hard times.”
There’s no question that this generation had a comfier, more catered, and less challenging upbringing with a more pampered childhood. That’s the result of having such a good country that those men who died in WW2 to protect. Had they not done so, Germany probably would have won and we would be living in a much shittier environment.
But that’s neither here nor there, my point of my comment was to appreciate and respect those who sacrificed everything so we could have something, and especially those who survived that hell just to see people get fat off the fruits of their sacrifice, become lazy and entitled, and demand capitalism be dismantled. To demand banning of free speech, to demand the socialist state which allowed such a horrendous war to be able to start in the first place. That Which Defiles
15 Then some Pharisees and teachers of the law came to Jesus from Jerusalem and asked, 2 “Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They don’t wash their hands before they eat!”
3 Jesus replied, “And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition? 4 For God said, ‘Honor your father and mother’[a] and ‘Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death.’[b] 5 But you say that if anyone declares that what might have been used to help their father or mother is ‘devoted to God,’ 6 they are not to ‘honor their father or mother’ with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition. 7 You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you:
8 “‘These people honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.
      9 They worship me in vain;
their teachings are merely human rules.’[c]”
10 Jesus called the crowd to him and said, “Listen and understand. 11 What goes into someone’s mouth does not defile them, but what comes out of their mouth, that is what defiles them.”
12 Then the disciples came to him and asked, “Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this?”
13 He replied, “Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots. 14 Leave them; they are blind guides.[d] If the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.”
15 Peter said, “Explain the parable to us.”
16 “Are you still so dull?” Jesus asked them. 17 “Don’t you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body? 18 But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them. 19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts-murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. 20 These are what defile a person; but eating with unwashed hands does not defile them.”

I swore to defend the constitution against all enemies but I went to Afghanistan, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia. While I was distracted overseas the politicians destroyed my country behind my back. After Afghanistan fell and we started sending money to Ukraine I knew the US's days were numbered. It's all been for nothing but we had a good run. So I decided to become a medic! I figured at least I could do my part to help out the guys that WERE fighters!
My older brother was a fighter and enlisted at almost the end of the Vietnam War.
I really feel sorry for the guys that had to go there! Most of them wanted no part of it, but were forced to go because of the draft.
Instead of dodging their way out of it, however; they did the right thing- the patriotic thing, and many ended up losing their lives for their bravery!
The ones that made it back were treated like shit for all their sacrifices!
And it was the “liberal” left that was mostly responsible for these unconscionable abuses! Them and the uncaring, war mongering selfish politicians that put them there in the first place!

Pointing at "the marxists" rather than acknowledging both sides have issues is part of the problem.
That Marxists quote was a cheap shot. And in the last few decades, the vast majority of terror attacks in America have been carried out by right wing white nationalists with guns, so if your argument is "well we have to start with one group" then Marxists make no logical sense being the group with which to start.

I’m also 61 and I am always saying I wish I could go back to my childhood. We didn’t have all this crap back then and life was good

I’m 16 and it feels like i am in hell. Everyone around me is blind. They’ve all been brainwashed. This genuinely feels like an apocalypse. The world is lost. May God come soon
