I love that once you displaced the stuffies from the bed to the wall, they were replaced with MORE stuffies on the bed! They replicate themselves like rabbits! Great build, and solutions for creating the look of a built-in unit without attaching to the walls of the rental apartment.
Wow, it is not only beautiful and much beter than before, but you got a lot of storage place. The idea with the bungeecords is just genius! Well done again, cool design!
Most parents know from experience that little ones can do some surprisingly dangerous things. I'd absolutely not want cords, flexes etc readily hanging in their bed area for them to mess with.
Adult-me is like "bungee cords are creative for storing stuffed animals". But kid-me is like "noooo! How can they breathe?! It's too tight, you monster!!!"
I fell like a lot of people have negative opinions, and I don't mean to add to that ...my thought was just that you built such a nice piece, but it will only last a few years because it's a kids sized bed! Maybe that's on the clients poor foresight, though. --lots of cool ideas, and thanks!
This looks like a great way to maximize space wihtout damaging walls, but as the dad of a 4 year old I cannot fathom some of the design choices in this build. A hanging bookshelf? Nope that's a swing. Stuffed Animal Bungies? Nice try, thats a climbing wall. 8 colorful bungie loops? nah, those are necklaces/nooses. Hanging light IN the bed/alcove with visible wires & open ended hooks? That's a broken bulb in a bed. I'm trying to design my child's custom bed, and this has been an incredible help to know what to avoid. Thanks for that!
Just thinking that a piece cut out in front of the window from the plywood behind the front facing shelves over the bed would also allow two shelves above the bed at the foot and head and would allow more light, easier window cleaning, easier curtain removal and more storage.
I've always been interested in woodworking and making things with my hands and your channel really got me interested. But something I always wonder is how do you know if the thing you built will be able to support the weight? Ya know like before it breaks under the pressure.
This project was an amazing idea only problem with it is as a father I would never have my daughter sleeping that close to a window. Idk if its just me but I feel some sort of way about that.
@@NB-ky5ol I'm adding bars to the window with quick link removal inside the walls. That's how I have it now in my home. Insurance and fire approved. 👍 I refuse to leave it at "What else can you do". I'm not trying to sound smart about it, I just choose to find a way for my daughter's safety by any means. This world is a way different place than when we were kids. And also i wouldn't even put a bed there in the first place lol.
Loved this project but slow down your videos!!! Can’t follow the builds which is the whole point of watching ;) thanks for sharing, nice to see more complex builds, especially with organization
How are they going to change the curtains? Move the whole thing? Also, OMG, that window is right outside an access road? 0_0 I've been watching too many Crime Watch Daily. That family needs bars on that window.
I would be willing to DIY furtinure like this (if I had the chance) for me or any other adult, but I'm not sure I would trust a DIY with kids haha I would be scared that it would just fall over them all the time

I could watch you work all day! 🥰
I want something like that - so cozy!
This is like a kids dream bedroom. So many cool things.

Kid's safety is priority, Changes in that way are necessary. Thanks for share.
I don't know why but the fact the the letters where left on the wall and are half covered by the book shelf is driving me nuts. Great work though.
Now say your ABCs son....
I think you mean DEFGs mom!
the way you tackle problems is super interesting and inspiring truly a certified banger
So lovely interior😍
Love the bungee cord holding the stuffed animals. Great idea! The whole build is really nice.
You two are so awesome to watch.
Wow, it is not only beautiful and much beter than before, but you got a lot of storage place. The idea with the bungeecords is just genius! Well done again, cool design!
Nice! The Bungee cord idea for the stuffed critters is amazing.
Awesome project!
So cool idea for free space.
Wow! Great job...the little shelf in that awkward corner is a great idea.
Very good project and efficient
Nice build; I love the thoughtful design process and the art desk is stellar. This would be a dream room for any young person. You two are awesome.
WOW!!! Great work!!! So cozy and charming. A dream space for a little one. :)
You blocked some of the window even though there is an empty void above it? Why not add a cutout and more shelving?
Yeah. I can see plenty of unused space that can be utilized for long term storage.
Awesome build, as always!
damn dude thats an awesome build! i gotta do my daughters room upstairs just like that!
Awesome!!
nice job ! very neat and functional !
Great use of bungee cords!

This would be a good bed for a skoolie
So cool!! You keep killin it Ben!! Great job, Dirty Jersey out!!
i admire u because u tell us how much space we save by making this project..
This is awesome!!!!
So much more organized, awesome work! 😃👍🏻👊🏻
Very cute
Great Job!!
Really nice job
It is a well designed project but the room above head behind is a waste and could be put to use somehow.
In my opinion, they could just cut the unnecessary plywood behind the shelves and play a bit with lighting there
...and it seemed like it was partially blocking the window!
I fell like a lot of people have negative opinions, and I don't mean to add to that ...my thought was just that you built such a nice piece, but it will only last a few years because it's a kids sized bed! Maybe that's on the clients poor foresight, though.

Very well done
Love it! Genius! Great work, thanks for sharing ❤️
So cool!
Excellent space usage :-)
so cool
sper nice concept. great content and a happy child🍀 thank you for sharing
I live in Tokyo, I wish I could make this for my nephew and niece.
Great job.

This is perfect for a tiny house! You should do more videos related to that!
Why is the space behind the shelves on the roof of the bed not being utilized?
Exactly! The side part should be deeper and on the weels...so amateur
Just thinking that a piece cut out in front of the window from the plywood behind the front facing shelves over the bed would also allow two shelves above the bed at the foot and head and would allow more light, easier window cleaning, easier curtain removal and more storage.
Very nice!
As a child I loved stuffed animals. As a mother I hate them! 😂
This is a great project, giving me some ideas for my own home.
I looked at a studio down there. Love that building. I’d be curious how to upscale this to adult size/queen bed?
That look great! Do you think painting the walls before would have been a good idea?
Ah, it's a commission work! For a moment, I thought you and Mike had something to tell us…😉😃
Ahh I wish I had a room 😔
nice good idea!!!
I like IT!!
Just need it some paint for the walls, and cover all the gaps..
Excelent job
I dig it.
Nice. Sorry about the glass deck man. That's BS.
Could've put the shelving at the foot of the bed into that waste space that you cover with the narrow shelves facing out.
Cute.

Always test while building. If it doesn't seem secure enough, use sturdier wood, add more support, or rethink the design.
Kids room with a street level window? Probably should have put some bars in the frame.
right!?
@@natedavis7159 notice at 3:20 the neighbors have bars
Superb
That much space... 😮😮😮😮
What kind of saw blade are you typically using? a finishing blade?
Thank you very informative! I'm going to apply this technique to other things. 5:34
well done grasshopper....
Great job! Thank you for sharing the video.👌👍😎JP
Nice job, apartments are such a pain to build in.
Do you have the same build blueprints with different sizes? Such as aomething that would fit like queen size mattress?
This project was an amazing idea only problem with it is as a father I would never have my daughter sleeping that close to a window. Idk if its just me but I feel some sort of way about that.
JLUMINADO me too. Right on a busy sidewalk. I wouldn’t sleep well knowing that. But, it’s NY so what else are you going to do.

I wouldn't put that heavy stuff on top if it breaks could cause alot of damage.
What's the progress on the container home?
Those are my bar coded tags on the lumber.
How much does it cost to get someone to do this?

Looks great! If only you were able to do face frames and make it permanent.
Bye bye 20% of your daylight
How are they going to change the curtains? Move the whole thing?

lose daylight, headroom and roof space???why??
Nice project, but really needs some trim work to take it from good to great and professional work.
Nice job, but that light is much too large
Too bad you weren't able to use that large CNC router in the woodshop. Looks like a nice machine.
Sooo...how do you go about liability issues? I avoid doing kids furniture... for now.
I wish the arrangement process shown is not in fast forward
It is a nice project but it closes some parts of the window and it does not look ok I think :/
👏👏👏👏👏💝💝
Сколько места над кроватью пропало, жаль(Но всё равно получилось неплохо!
I can see a lot of stains on the wood !
You do good work, but it looks like you waste a lot of time hand sanding. Why no sander?
tooooop
Вы не снимаете шторы?
guys, what's up with music in your videos?
Вы че реально?? И так света мало в комнате, вы его ещё уменьшили
Looks good.
Need more close-up shots of Jessie please!!!!!

The window pretty scary ,no protection oml.
6:50 damn poor stuff animals
fire hazard. blocking the window. isnt the best idea
