Actually Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam all have ridgeback dogs. But to be honest, Phu Quoc is the lowest quality of them all. Quite scrub body, coarse and non-shiny coat without unique or interesting color. And most importantly, with the least patterns of the "ridge" on their backs. I guess this is because Phu Quoc had already mutated a lot from its original. Vietnam is farthest from the center of the common habitat of these ridgeback dogs any way.

So funny. I used to spend an hour at home watching my Cambodian Ridgeback and her daughter play-fighting without making a sound. Entertaining!
