Great video. I want to buy the version that the LNER bought during the war years as they were running short of heavy freight locomotives. Martin. (Thailand)
Hi Dan. Fabulous job there buddy. Great looking loco. Wow 53 wagons that's some going. Very impressive running session. Thanks Dan. Have a fabulous new year to you and yours 🍾🍾 Thumbs up thumped 👍 .... Pete and Su....🎉🎉
I’m glad you featured the 8f, as I have an old Dublo version, and have considered buying a later Hornby version, you’ve inspired me to go look for one.
Hi Dan. Thanks for all the videos this year. I greatly appreciate you sharing your expertise and knowledge. I wish you a Happy 2025. I nave one of these models. The pickups were so unreliable that I wrapped the pieces that connect to the base plate in tin foil! It seems to work, but I've also seen others add solder to them in order to improve connectivity. It's a shame as otherwise they are darn fine locos.
Another great video, I’ve got 2 of these and both are early 2000s models and certainly one of them as never been run so this now gives me the things to look out for and how to sort them out should they need it. Nice to see two local wagons in 53 wagon take, GRIFF colliery and Hinckley gas works.
Nice loco. Is that the R2228 version? These days, they seem very hard to come by at a realistic price. I'd really like an LMS 8f in my fleet. One day I'll get lucky.😊 Happy New year!
Well done and great explanation of the need for regular cleaning and occasional lube job. Interesting that this loco design has so many pickups, and two poles on the tender draw bar.

Excellent Rescue, this just went Further up my “I need one of these” list 😁

Well done, Dan! The Hornby 8F is more than worth the effort.

Lovely workmanship dan ! 👍
Dan another great film. Thank you.
I do like the sea wall and beach section.looks cracking
What a transformation. As for the OO Gauge 8F it is in my opinion the Hornby-Dublo release still takes some beating.
Hi Dan
That was lucky that was no split gears on your 8f
Looking forward to more next year
Impressive haulage capabilities, well done Dan! 👍👍
Hi Dan, it's amazing to see your 8f pulling that many wagons. Happy new year. Carl.
