I am just starting to do spoons and trying to get a better under standing on all of it thank you for you shows you have helped any ideas for me i would be happy to get them .
i personally like to get old Japanese chisels, from ebay. The steel is fantastic for the price, usually. Look carefully at the pics and start cheap, But I think they are the best bang for the buck.

I live in Australia....what are the best [ steel wise] chisels and where would I be able to procure same.
