kick ass song.man payolas were great club band.saw them many times at 86st music hall vancouver and new years at plaza of nations back in late 80s.thanks for sharing...cheers...ken...keep up the great videos, you doing a great job.
Ha the long haired blonde guy is Bob Rock. Guy who produced Metallica's black album, and another 6 or so for them. Also did Mötley Crüe's Dr. Feelgood and about 4 other albums, The Cult - Sonic Temple, Bon Jovi's Keep the Faith, Aerosmith, Our Lady Peace, Simple Plan, Offspring, Tragically Hip, and tons more. So yeah this is SO great to see his roots and how he started in the recording industry. he's definitely doing better for himself. Great 80s song here too!
Yup. They played a surprise gig here in Red Deer Ab in July. Unannounced. Nite after opening for INXS. Played this and a buncha others. Also stuff from NEw album that was to drop following week. The new songs were really good. Talked to Paul after gig, took him aback with $10 words. Talked to Bob between sets + outside after. Gave him a hard time about producing Simple Plan.
Thanks kurdtss for posting this great song. I think I was in the seventh grade when this song came out.. I loved it then as I love it now. I can't find this song other then on you tube... please help..?
He was very cool. Laffed when I asked him if he really needed the money..." Do you need a few bux Bob? Was it worth maybe going to hell for? Of course tonites gig may have redeemed you and been a get outta hell free card. He was a good sport. I recorded the gig but it needs work.
This is my favorite song by the Payolas/Rock and Hyde by far. One of the greatest tunes of the 80's, and that is saying alot.
I'm trying not to exaggerate - I think I've listened to this song thirty times this week.
This song can't help but make you move to the music. Magnificent
I remember when this firstcame out back in the 80s, I was maybe 13 or something. Loved it then and now.
