Hey pal. Pfff where do i even start?🤔 First of all; Great comment, good structure and most important of all it’s made with passion Keep up the good work 🔥
@@Ass_itch112 thx ❤️😀
Shut Up and Drive (to Silent Hill) was easily my favorite from the album
That one and "Around The Fog" are my favorites!
Underrated comments
easily my fave comment under this vid😂
Oh come on, no flowers for "You've Seen the Pyramid"?
Be quiet and drive 😝
“Silent Hill - Around the Fog”
Silent Hill - The Town That Takes All.
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Fw this one
I love the nod to the deftones.
edit: Let's get a round of applause for all the people who watched a video once about how the band doesn't like being called "the" deftones. They clearly need it.
fr
Literally who
Deftones who? This is silent hill
@@raccoonman6249 just type "deftones - around the fur" in the search bar, for gods sake
Astute observation, Sherlock.
mary elizabeth mcglynn and akira yamaoka were definitely cooking with the sh3 and 4 soundtracks...this shit got me through the 2000s
I need to make a case for Homecoming as well -couple of those songs are here- you might not like the game but the songs are brutal.
@@DDevospartan oh of course i know homecoming is widely hated in the fandom but one more soul to the call is an eternal hit
Dont you dare forget about the shattered memories songs and the other ones
I only knew Mary Elizabeth McGlynn from her role as Motoko Kusanagi in the Ghost in the Shell franchise.
When i heard her singing i was blown away, couldn't help picturing Section 9 as a band tho lmao.
Found out she was also in an episode of Xena Warrior Princess.
@@DDevospartangame was also brutal but in a good way fuck the toxic fanbase
In my restless dreams,
I see that town.
Silent Hill.

Osakr….i love osakr
You literally compiled my favorite silent Hill songs.
I've always loved the emo/grunge/romantic 2000 vibe. I think silent Hill is the only game series that gives me that energy. I'm a recent fan, I came to play silent Hill 3 (my First game) at the beginning of last year, and I'm completely in love to this day.
Thank you :)
SH3 Is my favorite Silent Hill game, the aesthetic and the music 10/10
you should definitely watch the japanese film "kairo". it also perfectly captures those and the early 00s computer technology aesthetics, which is my thing, along with dark/depressing/creepy atmosphere.
@@transformlifemusic kiyoshi kurosawa the goat, the subplot with the hot comp sci grad student will never not get to me
I also recommend you to try the games "Obscure" 1 and 2. The horror element is clearly lighter, and also is the story, but they have that grunge/romantic 2000 vibe you're talking about, and also you can play co op with a friend!
I love boobies
THANK YOU!!!! FINALLY SOMEONE MADE A PLAYLIST THATS NOT JUST THE SPOOKY AMBIENCE AND USED THE MORE UPBEAT TRACKS!!!!!
Jajajaj thanks to you, that was the idea(anyway I love the spooky aah beats)
oh, the spooky ambience is goodstuff.
I love Silent Hill's music so much. We can mostly thank Portishead for inspiring Akira Yamaoka to make the soundtrack sound like this, and we can thank Mary Elizabeth McGlynn for providing these wonderful vocals.
Portisheeeaaaadddd
i didnt know portishead inspired these songs, thats cool
Beat me to it with your comment. Heather looks a bit like Beth Gibbons on this album cover.
@@Creedio90 yeah it's cool! These games actually got me into Portishead, and trip-hop in general. Also, I can't remember which game this is in, maybe 1 or 2, but in one of the indoor areas there's a slightly obscured Portishead poster on the wall.
thats super cool that portishead played a role in silent hill
Ahhh, that transition between "One More Soul" and "Tender Sugar" goes hard af, I always putted those two together
*put
@@jangofett2420 Mea culpa, i'm sorry.

putted 😂
Silent Hill and Deftones huh... now that i think about it, the acustic version of "Be Quiet and Drive" fits perfect to the series
Would be pretty cool hearing deftones in something silent hill related.
@@KikoElGatito Well , once i was totally bored i started to do edits to the endings of SH2, in a "what if the endings have licenced Songs from the era". Not disrespect Yamaoka's outstanding work but i was curious to see what Songs could be asociated. I used the Song "Rx Queen" for the Maria Ending, specially because of the line "i steal a Carcass for you then free up the virus"
@@nicolasriveros943 Where can I see this?? Great picks
I mean, Korn has a connection to Silent Hill. Why couldn't Deftones?
Silent Hill but it's Silent Hill
XD true
@@badproduct1885 xd
Nothing ever tops the youtube soundtrack music community. There's nothing like it anywhere else. 10/10
the intro was literally perfect
Guitar solo in Tender Sugar is still one of the best solos I've ever heard and it's coming from someone who listens to a lot of guitar music (metal/rock)
17:20-18:26, for those interested.
damn, the thumbnail of Heather (my favorite SH protagonist!) posing as the girl on the Deftones album was a crossover I NEVER expected! Both the games and the band got me through tough times, thank you for this mix!!
The first song is so nostalgic to me. I remember playing Silent Hill 3 on my old ass PS2 back when I was a kid, but I was too scared to do shit in the actual game because it was too scary for me back then. I remember just putting the SH3 disc just to hear the intro song before shutting my system down completely and switching back to Cartoon Network.
Lol I played the hell outta SH3, it's my favorite title in the series, they made Heather an actual realistic, relateable teenager and quite pretty, plus the music got me hooked. I still have my save files in my memory card😁
As someone who got into silent hill because of the music, this really is just how I listen to it haha, I still like the other ambiental tracks, I just need to get my ass through the games themselves
Play them, the first three games are a whole experience
@@badproduct1885 four*
Grab the first 4 games and a guide if you need the extra hand. Sh2 alone imo has the best narrative I've seen in a video game, it just hits these massive waves with me. But all 4 of them are excellent in their own right. Do yourself a huge favor and play them before time forgets them.
Now this is the quintessential shoegaze album I was waiting for.
huh i thought shoegaze was a type of performance?
not shoegaze
@@shesapeait’s totally got shoegaze aspects, just listen to that washed out guitar tone
@@UberPlaysGames Shoegaze aspects, but its not shoegaze.
You mean pop rock with slight use of pedals
the beautiful vocals and artistry of both Akira and Mary, the heavy themes, yet somber, powerful, and beautiful tracks, it truly is one of the best soundtracks of all time. It's perfect for SH.
Shhhh we can't let the normies know
There will never be another game with that vibe
Just from the title alone, I can tell I'll have this one on repeat for a while.
Thank you for putting these tracks into such an album. Almost all of my favorite tracks are from Mary Elizabeth Maglin. Track "Your Rain" is my favourite.❤
You don't know how glad I am for your words😌
Thanks for hearing the whole thing, and Your Rain is one of my favs too♥️
I remember seeing this CD in a music store back in 2003. I bought the CD for fun, but I got so into this album... a lot of memories are associated with the songs from this CD. Carefree days, lots of friends, college, unrequited love... oh, I wish I could go back there at least for a day, life was so easy in those days…
I've looped this over ten times in the past three to four days. this hits a specific cord in my brain this is exactly my jam and that cover. damn, Heather never looked so good! silent hill music in general lives rent-free in my head so having this now on my playlist as I do my artwork is just the best thank you for this new gem I hope to jam this many more times over
As a guy that do graphic design with playlists in the background this is the best compliment someone can tell me, so thank you :)
@@badproduct1885 well then ha I guess great minds think alike then :) but yeah I do traditional art but it's only cause I was too set in my ways to turn to digital lol. but yes this makes me very happy to hear indeed!
Thats is such a incredible album, is almost like im back to 2000 listening to a jam session of the best artists, those music have such a amazing vibe
Hell Frozen Rain was a jam. Its guitar solo is so good
Fucking Deftones are incredible.
One of the best from the Nu Metal era
I'd buy this CD instantly if it was real 😂
I had SH soundtracks with me during the late 2000s and early 2010s. Got me through college! I'll never forget them.
Ive never played SIlent Hill, but it turns out i love its sound, because over the past six months yt has been recommending me all sorts of SH music and i always enjoy it

album and cover art goes hard😭🔥
I didn't know Silent Hill had music like this and I found this out by complete accident.
I'm really glad you made this compilation! I've been listening to it a lot and I think it's really well made.
Thank you for sharing this!
Edit: I had forgotten to mention but the cover and the way the compilation is made really captures this 2000's mood perfectly. I feel like this is something I would listen to after watching Buffy on the TV.
It is genuinely so fucking cool to know I inspired someone elses video, great job with the mix and I absolutely love the deftones cover. This made my week man!
Tysm Camo🙌 I have a blast with your playlist when I'm doing art and stuff :)
If anyone wants albums similar to this "silent hill" vibe, check out Katatonia's "Last Fair Deal Gone Down". Dispossession, Chrome, Teargas, Tonights Music, The Future Of Speech, Passing Bird, all bangers.
Thank you!
@@basketcaseface813 Also, an earlier album by them "Discouraged Ones" may sound even more "Silent Hill."

Very cool, thanks a bunch!
That seamless transition between tender sugar and i want love WAS FUCKING PERFECT
that intro gave me chills fr
Thanks for the wonderful mix
2 of my favorite stuff combined, you just gave me a solid reason to keep living, thank you.
This is the best Christian rock album ever
this was much needed and is much appreciated
A lot of the SH soundtrack is great for trips; when I'm going to and from uni, there's nothing quite like getting on a bus and hearing "End of Silent Sanctuary" or "You're not Here". Absolutely wonderful.
Thank you for this mix, you did a great job with it.
you caught me by the picture resembling "Around the fur" album
and I don''t regret staying, those songs really brought me back and I actually felt like I was listening to a 2000s rock album, kinda like Evanescence from another reality (pun unintented)
the sequencing is absolutely flawless. 6 tracks deep, I'm enjoiyg this very very much. great job! thank you.
Amazing, thank you for the compilation ♥
Very nice! Love the album artwork!
Nice work, i always got the feeling of the 2000's alternative rock in silent hill soundtrack, my favorite track is I Want Love.
An insanely well-put mixtape, transitions feel so natural they're pretty much flawless and selection of tracks is chief's kiss
Omg this is the best thing I’ve found ever. I’m definitely going to replay this over and over
Beautifully well done! ❤
Amazing, thanks for compiling this!
This compilation is great! I listen to it all the time. I feel like overdose delusion would fit so well here.
This has got to be one of, if not the greatest thing i've ever seen
Listened to this the whole Friday evening, such a good way to relax after a long week. Great mix man
I know what it feels like, have a nice break :)
10 page essay in 4 days, wish me luck
How did it go?
Amazing! thanks so much! " Waiting For You" - so many memories
you are a god for making this. some of the transitions are so smooth you leave me speechless every time even tho this playlist is on repeat
The one thing fears me most. That this video was released december 29th. I know the people who love SH feel the special atmpsphere but I hope a new year can not change it. It only chages during the fall.
I will NEVER stop listening to SH music. It's just some of the best ever made.
“Heavens Night Wrist”
“Around the Fog”
“Koi no James”
“White Pyramid”
Great work with this song list, man. Loving it
The intro gave me goddamn goosebumps, you creative son of a gun.
You even included studio mix of "I Want Love", my favorite piece by McGlynn & Yamaoka. Thank you! Wonderful compilation!
this is everything I needed.
I've been looking for a great set of these for some time now especially at least with one that holds some of Silent Hill's original songs like the first one that played. I love you're not here SO VERY MUCH 🤩 thank you.
Bro, seeing Sacred Line on this list made me smile! I love the Homecoming soundtracks and I'm happy to see someone remembering them! And great video and songs choice!
Sacred Line was one of my all time favs since I was a kid, and I've never even played Homecoming
Tender Sugar kind of has some Deftones vibes from the guitar
Listen to Deathblow by them.
Banger of a mix you got here. Great editing and track list choice
The intro is absolutely incredible, the cover is perfect too. ❤
This is really fantastic. You did a great job!!
Thank you so much😌
THIS IS SO GOOD
This is a work of art
Well done. All my nostalgia in one place
man, this cover!
genius!
The urge to burn this into a cd
This is sooo good! ❤i love the way you putting them together, and several pieces all have the silent hill main theme in them.
I've been listening to these songs since the release of the games and I've gotta say, this order really flows well together. Good arrangement.
That album art is awesome
amazing playlist
Thank you so much :)
19:57 THAT TRANSITION IS SO SMOOTH THOUGH...
i love that this exists, absolutely amazing. im gonna be having this playing in the bg while i play games for a while
Amazing. I’m a huge fan of Silent Hill and the early 2000’s grunge/rock/shoegaze/whatever you want to call it so Heather on the ‘Deftones’ style album cover is perfection.
this is amazing, I be playing this when I'm doing homework.
Thank you again for creating and uploading this

Heather Mason influenced my taste in women
My life shifted galaxies the minute 8 year old me laid eyes on her

Great! Thanks for this!
so happy u put songs from sh homecoming !!! and the mary intro aaaaa this is perfect
Just found this and ima listen to it while I work my night shift, I will come back to review this looks like fun!!!
I needed this
Hearing these songs and realising some of them are nearly 15+ years old is baffling, how time flies that I can still remember being in high school in the 2000s going home, and just playing SH the whole afternoon without a care in the world really is nostalgic.
goated mix
beautiful
This is gold! ❤❤❤
God, that guitar solo at the end of You’re Not Here almost brings a tear to my eye. So fuckin underrated.
Glad to see other folks showing it love, it's my go to when I think of a guitar solo, honestly. It almost feels like it could go on forever in this sort of electric bliss. Man, to be alive at the same time as this wonderful work of art.
