  • I purchased a WIRUS WIN Sport exhaust on eBay from Japan. In this video, I installed it myself. Below are the things you would need to do this job yourself.

    Me too. I’m going to drown the bolts in penetrating oil. Lol

    Leak fixed: th-cam.com/users/shorts3wXLwmsRlfs?si=Qt4A9aeO-g-_vRi4
    Update: I had a slight leak from the exhaust flange. I needed to remove the existing bolts, (had to cut and drill them out) replace them with longer ones, and then I added the included gasket ring. No leak since then.

    You need to connect those two tubes you disconnected from the exhaust. Find a pipe from a hardware store that will fit inside them and clamp them down together. That tube was meant for cold morning to send warm air from the airbox up the carburetor. If you leave them open it’s just going to pull dirt and dust into your system.

    • @JulesMariani
      @JulesMariani  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey what kind of pipe did you use?

    This is my next project for the Acty
    I also feel like everywhere online with editing it looks like mechanic jobs are done in 7 1/2 minutes and it takes me an entire day 😅

      Yeah, it took me a lot of effort 😅! The job would definitely be easier with an extra set of hands. Good luck with your project!

    Great job young lady.Exhaust systems are sometime a pain in the A$$. I like the sound, is it too loud on the highway??????

    • @JulesMariani
      @JulesMariani  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Haven’t done a ton of highway riding. However, preliminary testing reveals its not much louder than the stock muffler. (I have the silencer installed currently)

    What did you do with the two hoses you removed from the stock muffler? It looks like you just left them hanging. I’m not positive but I have heard from other people, that those hoses need to be connected together with a tube or copper pipe or you will not have heat.

      Hi, yes, I ended up connecting my hoses at a later date. I created a YT short for it here: th-cam.com/users/shortsJcX6uU80r3k?si=BQB7K7UyL7nar-Bx

      @@JulesMariani Are those hoses for your heater?

    • @JulesMariani
      @JulesMariani  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@totallyjonesin Hi, from my understanding they are not for the cabin heater. They get the engine to operating temps faster. But as I am in a hot climate I do not need to reconnect them

      @@JulesMariani Also removal and installation is a bit of a pain, I would recommend taking pictures and marking your vacuum hoses so you know where they go back on. And probably plan on doing it over a few days if you can afford to, it's just too much to manage removal, thorough cleaning and then reinstalling all in one go for a beginner with basic hand tools. That's how I did it anyway.

    Securing the nuts 🔩 is everything but sometimes you have to loosen the nuts after and try again 😆😭😂 great install video 👌🏽
