Otherkin is kinda the same but with Non-earthen beings, eg: unicorns, fairies, dragons etc. Just because you have a connection to an animal does not make that your thereotype, that would be classed as other hearted (I won't explain that now). For example, the famous therian youtuber, PD, has a Pink River Dolphin thereotype, but he has said in multiple videos that he dislikes dolphins and has no connection to them. Also we don't "believe" we are animals, are ARE animals on a NON PHYSICAL level. We experience being animals non-physically. It's not a belief.

A little thing about furrys. They can exist only online instead of physical costumes. Furrys are litterly just a Fandom and you can exist as a furry by just looking like one. That is why Therians, Otherkins, and Zoophiles are litterly 100% different from Furrys. Therians and Otherkin feel extremly connected, zoophiles are just disgusting, and Furrys simply put on a different look that's a humanoid version of their favorite animal.

honestly u should js tell them when i came to my literally happiest moment of my life i will literally nvr be happy evr again but anyways heres how to do it! first ask them if they know what a therian/otherkin is if they dont than show them a couple videos of abt therians/otherkins and then ask how they would feel if u are one!
Hi! When I often had dreams as a younger child, they were always in different colours. I heard that could be like dreaming about being an animal. I also feel I have a connection towards cats and looked up how cats see colour, and they were very similar to the dreams. I always feel I should’ve been a cat rather than a human
Very good but there was some misinformation I saw, such as "you can't become a therian." You can become a therian later in life but it isn't a choice, the whole thing with proven animals vs mythical ones, etc. I recommend people to watch TherianTerritory's video explaining therian misconceptions in the community, I believe that will help with some of the misunderstandings here.

The definition of therian is "A non-human identity on a non-physical level based on involuntary animalistic experiences" meaning that you can be a dragon therian as well as identifying as an otherkin. It can be pretty confusing to understand at first as even I believed the proven animal versus a mythical animal myth in the therian community, it's very widespread. Hopefully I was able to explain a bit better, I hope I don't come off as rude, it's difficult for me to read tone.❤🐾

Only thing I'd say is that your theriotype(s) *can* be your favourite animal but *not by choice* because one of my theriotypes is a horse and horses are my favourite animal. I *didn't choose* for my theriotype to be a horse though, it just happened to be a horse. Great video though!!

You can be a therian and be a mythical creature. Im a werewolf therian (have other theriotypes too) but I choose to go by therian or theriomythic as I dont like the definition of otherkin. The key factor is the involuntary animalistic behaviors and traits.

Not always, but some do get species dysphoria. (I think it is mostly the psychological ones that kinda don't.)
