@RetroGamerVX I'm having an issue with my modded PSP 1000, I have dropped about 20 games into my iso folder some work and some do not. Chains of Olympus and NFL Street 2 work just fine, but Ghost of Sparta and Syphon Filtet both say "Game cannot be played" when I try to boot them up. The PSP recognizes the games and shows me the games previews and thumbnails, but it just won't start them up for some reason. Can you help me?

@@RetroGamerVX You should make a video or several on how to fix a PSP that isn't working correctly after attempting this. My PSP will turn on after fiddling with it. It's completely random when it happens. Then you can play games on it but it takes a few minutes to load a game and then it takes 15 to 30 minutes for it to leave a game if you exit it. I'm trying to figure out what is wrong and how to fix it.
Bout to go to Japan, a solid like 19hr flight lol, brother gave me his old abandoned PSP so I'm glad I won't have to carry around an extra bag of games to play. Thank you for this amazing walkthrough!!

@@venator7889 mine wasn’t but it’s because wear and tear over the years. Purchase a new one at a gaming shop and bam it lasts for hourrss after a full charge

You know you can't go wrong with hard copies at times, you never know when you might not find the rom version of the game(s) you really loved. I still have a few that come to mind from psp, ps1, ps2. But now that Nintendo did this whole lawsuit shit a while back that list had grew enormously long.

Also remember that if your iso game doesnt end with .iso it wont work. all you need to do is at the end og the game name put ".iso"

You don’t bc no one ever shows that part bc it is super easy to mod it but not to download games did you ever figure out how to get the iso files?

So i have the latest firmware (v6.61 pro c infinity) and I also formatted my memory stick. When I create an iso file in the memory stick root and put the game into the folder it does not show up anywhere on the psp. Any suggestions?

You can't get the games from Sony but, yhere are plenty of other sources.

hi hopefully you could reach to this comment my psp doesnt want to start the update i tried changing the umd iso mode and when i put files onto it at 10% it stops and disconnects and then reconnects but the file i inserted saves to the memory stick am using the not adapter memory stick what could be the problem?

Hello where do you download your games on the internet?
When I turn on the psp, the update from fast recovery is deleted every time and the games are displayed only after I reinstall fast recovery. Don't know why the update is deleted?

I don’t expect you to answer this at all, but I do have a question, and it’s more of an accessibility one: Is it possible to download the files on a tablet or a mobile device as there are SD adapters for such devices? I don’t have a desktop of my own and couldn’t get one unless u have the money for it, but I do have a PSP and was wondering if it’s possible to do so? Yes, it doesn't matter what you use to put them on the sd card.

It doesn't work for me. I made a folder named ISO in the PSP's root directory and put the .iso game in there, but that game still doesn't pop up on my PSP. Help?
Edit: The custom firmware was not activated :-/, now it works :)

Do I need to keep all those files on my memory card after everything is done? The pro update, the flasher, the recovery, the official firmvare update? Or can I just delete them from memory card and use all the space for games?
I'm not sure but u definitely gotta keep the fast recovery u need that for fast reboot to see all ur mod games I brought my psp3001 modded trying to learn how to add games after losing it for 10yrs it's loaded with thousand games but I want my own custom library I got all the classics some good psp but missing a bunch of my favorites

Please help, I've downloaded iso games and made ISO folder. But after done downloading an put into ISO folder, it docent show up on my PSP... please help so infuriating what am I doing wrong?
for me, only PSP games worked. i have iso games from NES to PS1 and none of those showed up also. After downloading a PSP game, go into that folder and copy "Disc image file" to your ISO folder. If that doesn't work, format your card and restore default settings then copy those files back into your PSP again.

I have a silver psp slim (2000) it has firmware 6.61, and last night I had installed a custom firmware which now says system software: 6.61PROMOD-C2p♾ (< infinity sign). Is it possible to do the same thing you did to add games? I'm getting kinda stumped when trying to find an iso to download games... also would it be possible to add games from there consoles with this mod? Say like GBC/GBA/DS, GameCube, PS1/2/3, and Xbox/360 just to name a few.
You can definitely play GBC and GBA games with the mod. There’s a video here on TH-cam that shows you which files you’d need to download first to use as an emulator on the psp itself. Past that it’s pretty simple

Just pressed the same x for the 1st time, while the x for 2nd one takes a while so i pressed it again then boom suddenly turn off and if I open it it will only a black screen and suddenly turn off again. I dont know how to fix this
How do I extract the file? when i right click it doesn’t give me the option to extract the 660Pro. I tried to compress it to a zip file but and it didnt have a game folder or the other one

I have one PSP 1001 which has an FrmWre(1.51 or so) and so is impossible to read Micros' SD without updating it. I am trying to update it to 6.61 FIRMWARE but I can't because is not reading any memory stick I insert to it, I've tried 64 GB 16 GB With adaptor Pro Duo and it still don't read it. The only Micro SD it has read so far is the original 32 Megabytes SONY VERSION. I guess my only savior is buying an ORIGINAL Sony 1GB PSP MEMORY CARD just to solve this problem, almost 100$ spent in just buying and trying different SD cards+adapters just for it to not work at the end. I tried so hard and got so far, but in the end it doesn't even matter~~~~~
