Hello friend, I'm in Munich for the 2024 October fest and I'd like to know, i didn't bring any cash, only credit card, you said it's not possible to buy inside the tent, only with cash but, what about the rest of the festival? I feel safer not walking around with cash. Can I buy beer and food outside of the tent like contactless pay? Thanks and nice video it was really helpful for me.

So I'm flying to Munich tomorrow for Octoberfest first timer.. I wanna go for 3 days and have 3 popular tents I want to go into would I need to go there 9am and stay there until night in the one spot for 10 hours? 😂 Genuinely asking..

As long as you keep buying beer, yes. If you’re just sitting there the waitresses will ask you to leave. After 4 or 5pm most of the tables inside the tents are reserved so they kick everyone out around that time and you’ll have to go to another tent.
