    Thanks G Moore. It will always be about what you can get your kids to know and execute. The whiteboard is really just a way to share ideas and get juices flowing in the offseason.

    Good stuff. I agree at the paper/x&o stage, you have to create an advantage over the teams that are as good and better. This play will get the ball to my TB and/or slot receiver because they are some of the best players I have running inside and making catches in traffic. Ideally, they make people miss.

      At some point we all play better teams, gotta see what you can do in those matchups

    We tag it as a key screen and number receivers from outside in #1,#2,#3. The number tagged runs the bubble. Don't consider that a run pass option, consider it triple option.

    Stacking the wide Wr would make it easier to cover in quarters. Safeties are not affected by hash and less of an expand to 1. Also it limits routes that are possible

    The problem with the offset back is you will get extremely tendency based off of his depth and alignment. He will be deeper for IZR and closer to the line for OZR. As far as defending the RPO stuff I would set the FS to the side of the back so I can play zone concepts since the QB really can't RPO as well away from the back. If it is still an issue than man free pressure becomes the next option. Remember on a whiteboard the offense should always win.

    If you are rushing 5 there are only a few coverages you can play.

    awesome video thanks Coach. I like how you say you are undefeated with the chalk-talk, you can always draw up a counter to their counter! Just have to study your opponent and get your kids to be able to anticipate those checks even when the game is 100mph every friday night. Awesome stuff

    Hey coach, great stuff as usual, you talked about reading a great 3tech or def tackle, can you go into some etail about the different ways you would do that.

    Hey Coach, love your videos! Insightful and simple to learn/teach. My question is if you ran a 50 defense and always rushed the interior D-Lineman/D-Ends what coverages could you run? It's been a question I've been wondering for a while now. Thanks!

    Try and word associate your no huddle terminology if you can to make it easy on your kids. A lot will be done by signals so what you call things is not the be all end all. We choose not to use option routes in passing game.

    Hey coach, could you possibly talk about stopping the run against teams with 21 personnel, 22 personnel, wing formations etc. Teams that run an offense like Arkansas, and if you'd still run the 4-2-5, or switch to a 4-3.

    Coach when you add bubble as the third phase of the zone read option instead of the pitch how do you phrase it. How does the Wr's to that side know if they are blocking bubble rt from snap or blocking bubble as option leaving force player untouched.

    If I played a 4 man front with mike & will in the box and a coverage combination where we either run 1 robber or zero with the free safety off the edge HB side would that be too risky? FS off the edge would give the defense 7/6 advantage in the box..what are your thoughts

      Gotta have good man players

    Coach, what would you try to do if they played a 4-4 cover three and the outside backers are playing inside of the slot receivers?

    Hey coach,
    When that FB motions over, have you ever tried bumping your NG to a 2i and moving the T into a 3 so your LB can still sit on that stick route in the RPO game?

    • @CoachMac
      @CoachMac  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      We usually will not touch the front with any motions.

    20 years ago this would have gotten a penalty called every time. Or at least I thought so.

      Why's that?

    • @wordtoyobamawhatsbrakingni4572
      @wordtoyobamawhatsbrakingni4572 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because the center is going upfield and becoming an illegal man down field, but if done fast it won't be a penalty

    Coach, Do you have any tips for creating No huddle terminology?

    Coach,
    Do you have a field/boundary preference when you call an RPO?
    In other words, do you prefer to throw into the boundary and run to the field?

    Coach, how do y'all communicate to your OL on RPO's that it is a pass & not to go up field? Do y'all have a call or anything?

    • @CoachMac
      @CoachMac  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      We block the run called and do not pass block it. You have 3 yards downfield before it's a penalty. Ball must get out of QB'S hand quickly

  • @justinpalmer3948
    @justinpalmer3948 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Coach, how would you use this RPO scheme with a trips formation?

    • @CoachMac
      @CoachMac  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can manipulate the routes however you want in trips to attack whichever defender you are putting constraint on. Some guys use more vertical stems in 3x1, some guys stay stick draw. The beauty is its up to you.

    We tried running midline stuff with our veer so we blocked the end and left the 3 tech unblocked.
