as much as I want the monopoly of youtube to crack, I think TikTok is just worse in every possible way. More controlling, more aggressive, more addictive, from a state that can't be seen as benign. And overall, I've not yet seen content from TikTok where I thought "that's interesting, maybe I should explore it more".
