Janko makes such a great point about Navi. They were dominating early in the year on LAN. I would stay patient with the team and let them continue to grow together. They've already grown a lot since the online era started. Losing the way they did definitely hurts, but I saw more good than bad.
I want them to stick since no point in blaming individual performances. But I believe even if the virus didnt happen , NaVi would have still dipped. Its due to how they approach the game and T side to be specific. They play pretty bland cs and get tilted pretty easily once they have a bad start and the opponent just keeps on pushing them away fairly easily when they have the momentum. Also I think they need to up their teamplay and callings a lot. Its 2020 and NaVi still run out of time to plant the bomb and technically lose the round which they should have won.

I feel very bad for Ynk as a coach , I know he has a very good mind for the game, and i believe he tried his best as a coach to turn things around But he had very bad luck in terms of Org and Players that he was working with , Mibr I don't need to state the obvious why it was bad , in Faze I was surprised he didn't have a support staff for the team !! Every good org atleast have some analysts and data guys to help the coach and Sports psychologist for the Players !! Ynk got really wronged in that area , and I believe thats what happened to Karrigan as well , and in that shitty org no power was given to coaches or IGLs in terms of roster moves and big changes.

More maps also means you need more work to put in for that particular map and also new player's approach and support him differently.........IMO a better reason would be to hide a particular players weeknesses and exploit the Incoming player's strengths.......eg a secondary awper would be more useful on train or mirage.........less aggresive player on nuke..... A raw aimer on dust 2........ A communication god.....maybe even a excellent support player on vertigo etc etc As for weeknesses.......look at TL which has reached a point that twistzz has to share a lot of support roles for them on maps like inferno .......this guy has insane aim and experience with this team.........another one would be the astralis issue when they had role clash between kjaerbye( never could spell it properly) and Dupreeh.........also now bubzki ( still think he should join a team who needs an hyper aggresive player) not fitting into the scheme of the teamplay at astralis...... because they already have Magisk and Dupreeh but also their game is more about calculated agressio( they literally save in 4v5 retake on dust2 B site or nuke upper site) to play the %'s more.........that's just examples of top teams......if we go lower down......the examples will be even more dramatic

Navi have lost 2 best of 5 this year and guess what? Both were reverse swipes. Now two main explations can be that they were either getting fatigue or their map pool's 💩💩💩. I'm more of the latter opinion.

Even on the map pool being extensive needs a exceptional coach/IGL who believe you win games more of the prep that you do on opponent teams(demo's, tendency) than actually kills in the server.......

with the 6-man roster, I think that after the map veto the lineups for every map needs to be public. so the other team knows who is playing and knows what to expect
I am sure the admins and mgmt knows about the line up for every map pre- veto(it's a rule) and opponents know just after the veto right? Or is it before the actually map the particular map?
i disagree, this has the same logic as asking the other team what tactics/strategy they will use rosters and teams are studied so much nowadays that having 6-man rosters brings more excitement to the game

Vitality and Navi are going through the same learning experience, Zywoo has been filling in a more and more passive AWP role, unless they really aren't getting any openings then he picks up an AK and plays entry, it took them 4 grand final losses to learn and adapt (one of the grand finals against heroic zywoo dropped 127 frags, just to contrast with simple's recent monster performance and still getting 118 frags) Zywoo is letting off the gas and letting the other people in his team shine, shox is dropping 30 bombs every few maps, then nivera has great performances, even RPK has matches where he absolutely pops off. Navi need to learn to do that as well, the rest of the team just does not have enough breathing room to make plays, you will mostly see electronic picking up the pace when simple isn't doing so well, you'd rarely ever see both of them fragging out of their minds in the same map, just one guy playing out of his mind every map isn't enough(unless they are dropping 40 every game)
Always liked and respected FaZe, they definitely could've been a major winning team with ALEX IGLing and Niko playing a more rifler only role. Hopefully they get better and have a set team moving on forward
I think the 6-man thing would be better If regulated to only switch players between matches. At this point it is very early and only big orgs are able to do switch players between maps in a series. If we start it like this to only be able to switch players between different series, orgs can see the value of it and maybe transition to what vitality did in the final. I just think now it is such an advantage for the big orgs that we will never see the smaller orgs come up through the ranks and make the scene better in general. It is not this case in EU, but this could be the way forward to keep NA relevant and maybe improve competitiveness for regions like OCE, CIS and Asia
What ynk said there that they could've had aleksi b or blame f. Huge mistake to not get them. Imagine aleksi b with a players like niko and rain. What a shame that Faze failed to realise the value of an igl.
Honestly, any team if they really want a win, they will work and work and work for it, players now days just happy to get a 30k check, thats why pro cs got so boring, no one coming up with new things, its the same thing over and over again.
Yeah the missed opportunity with CS as a esport is INSANE. Casting isn't on the level it used to be either imho, mostly much less hype and more analysis. As a viewer sport that's just not interesting. I love analysis when I search for it, but not when i'm watching a match. Gimme some hype, storylines and players truly fighting for their spot. For me, the final of blast did kind of give me that vibe due to the S1mple ZyWoO showoff. But I miss the days where entire events were filled with that...

I've heard rumours my boy rain was a bit demotivated during 2019 and maybe he wouldn't put the necessary work in, but everyone refers to him as the best teammate so that feels strange as well. Broky or Kjaerbye makes the most sense of course, but wonder if we get more on it soon.

I think a lot of the community pressure came from kicking karrigan not the fact that it was faze clan. Faze was shit before karrigan and amazing after they got him. Then they kicked him and were bad since. It's similar with modern day ence and aleksiB

I don't think they will go with Guardian. Broky is getting better by the minute, and he has allready showed his AWP, rifle and clutch skills numerous times. Karrigan, on the other hand, could work. They do need a IGL, so Cold allso can get some releif like NiKo does in G2.
a team is only strong when it feels like a team, you got to know eachother. if you change the lineup to often its an unsave enviroment and it will destabilise the team. there is no way you win every thing just because you have star players, you gota have a well oiled team. without some growing toghter you have to relate on pur talent wich is not optimal. keep your team player for longterm and it might pay of but even then, there is many teams to fight for the crown. so its never a save bet even when you havel done everything right.
I fell like Ynk was only in the team, because he was Nikos friend. Other than coach quoted he didn’t provide much. Desk analysts like Ynk or Moses are just not good enough to be a coach, which is totally different to being a real coach ingame.

Misutaaa is an important part on the other maps and his pit hold on A inferno is very good aswell.

Sooo Faze piled on the pressure, provided little support, didn't pile on the money either (can't afford players after coldzera? then you cannot want to be a top team, cmon). Pretty much living up to the impression everyone has of the org.
There was not even an analyst before YNK became coach. What I don't get about that is, why would you not hire an analyst/analysts by yourself? take a bit money from each player and hire one? Why would anyone think it's a good idea to not hire an Analyst at this point? It was already really bad while Karrigan was IGL and it blows my mind how you could even work without help. You can't blame the ORG right? Players/Coaches earn money, take a bit from that and hire analysts by yourself? Help yourself if the org won't help you? I mean with an analyst you increase the chance of winning more prizemoney right? it's a good investment in the long run.
That's not how business works unless you are a contractor. You cant go and hire someone as an employee(excluding management positions). There are benefits on top of salary and travel expenses, including visas.

faze is an org that is not deserving of coaches and igl's the class of ynk and karrigan. that org has never won a major bc theyve never played cs at its highest level. its all about developing ppl to gel together, KICKING THEM FOR BEING TOO GOOD TO LISTEN, and having the best macro level understandings of the game. mechanics should be dead last for any org bc that doesnt win majors. if it did then navi would have won every major since simple came from liquid. look at astralis and vp for fucks sake.
YNk is a decent analyst. Terrible coach. All of the problems he blames on the org and players is ultimately the coach’s job to fix. End of story. Him deflecting the coach’s role and problems to fix onto others is tiresome.
Watch it more. He said that players were not trusting in his calls anymore so there is no point to keep him in roster. But now those players left, so now they can get karrigan.

Vitality and Navi are going through the same learning experience, Zywoo has been filling in a more and more passive AWP role, unless they really aren't getting any openings then he picks up an AK and plays entry, it took them 4 grand final losses to learn and adapt (one of the grand finals against heroic zywoo dropped 127 frags, just to contrast with simple's recent monster performance and still getting 118 frags) Zywoo is letting off the gas and letting the other people in his team shine, shox is dropping 30 bombs every few maps, then nivera has great performances, even RPK has matches where he absolutely pops off. Navi need to learn to do that as well, the rest of the team just does not have enough breathing room to make plays, you will mostly see electronic picking up the pace when simple isn't doing so well, you'd rarely ever see both of them fragging out of their minds in the same map, just one guy playing out of his mind every map isn't enough(unless they are dropping 40 every game)
I'm wondering if HEN1 just decided to go back to Brazil while they were in EU, and they need someone willing to come over with them.
Always liked and respected FaZe, they definitely could've been a major winning team with ALEX IGLing and Niko playing a more rifler only role. Hopefully they get better and have a set team moving on forward

I think the 6-man thing would be better If regulated to only switch players between matches. At this point it is very early and only big orgs are able to do switch players between maps in a series. If we start it like this to only be able to switch players between different series, orgs can see the value of it and maybe transition to what vitality did in the final. I just think now it is such an advantage for the big orgs that we will never see the smaller orgs come up through the ranks and make the scene better in general. It is not this case in EU, but this could be the way forward to keep NA relevant and maybe improve competitiveness for regions like OCE, CIS and Asia
What ynk said there that they could've had aleksi b or blame f. Huge mistake to not get them. Imagine aleksi b with a players like niko and rain. What a shame that Faze failed to realise the value of an igl.
Honestly, any team if they really want a win, they will work and work and work for it, players now days just happy to get a 30k check, thats why pro cs got so boring, no one coming up with new things, its the same thing over and over again.
Yeah the missed opportunity with CS as a esport is INSANE. Casting isn't on the level it used to be either imho, mostly much less hype and more analysis. As a viewer sport that's just not interesting. I love analysis when I search for it, but not when i'm watching a match. Gimme some hype, storylines and players truly fighting for their spot. For me, the final of blast did kind of give me that vibe due to the S1mple ZyWoO showoff. But I miss the days where entire events were filled with that...

I've heard rumours my boy rain was a bit demotivated during 2019 and maybe he wouldn't put the necessary work in, but everyone refers to him as the best teammate so that feels strange as well. Broky or Kjaerbye makes the most sense of course, but wonder if we get more on it soon.

I think a lot of the community pressure came from kicking karrigan not the fact that it was faze clan. Faze was shit before karrigan and amazing after they got him. Then they kicked him and were bad since. It's similar with modern day ence and aleksiB

I don't think they will go with Guardian. Broky is getting better by the minute, and he has allready showed his AWP, rifle and clutch skills numerous times. Karrigan, on the other hand, could work. They do need a IGL, so Cold allso can get some releif like NiKo does in G2.

a team is only strong when it feels like a team, you got to know eachother.
if you change the lineup to often its an unsave enviroment and it will destabilise the team.
there is no way you win every thing just because you have star players,
you gota have a well oiled team. without some growing toghter you have to relate on pur talent wich is not optimal.
keep your team player for longterm and it might pay of but even then, there is many teams to fight for the crown.
so its never a save bet
even when you havel done everything right.

There was not even an analyst before YNK became coach. What I don't get about that is, why would you not hire an analyst/analysts by yourself? take a bit money from each player and hire one? Why would anyone think it's a good idea to not hire an Analyst at this point? It was already really bad while Karrigan was IGL and it blows my mind how you could even work without help. You can't blame the ORG right? Players/Coaches earn money, take a bit from that and hire analysts by yourself? Help yourself if the org won't help you? I mean with an analyst you increase the chance of winning more prizemoney right? it's a good investment in the long run.
That's not how business works unless you are a contractor. You cant go and hire someone as an employee(excluding management positions). There are benefits on top of salary and travel expenses, including visas.

faze is an org that is not deserving of coaches and igl's the class of ynk and karrigan. that org has never won a major bc theyve never played cs at its highest level. its all about developing ppl to gel together, KICKING THEM FOR BEING TOO GOOD TO LISTEN, and having the best macro level understandings of the game. mechanics should be dead last for any org bc that doesnt win majors. if it did then navi would have won every major since simple came from liquid. look at astralis and vp for fucks sake.

YNk is a decent analyst. Terrible coach. All of the problems he blames on the org and players is ultimately the coach’s job to fix. End of story. Him deflecting the coach’s role and problems to fix onto others is tiresome.
