I like the implication that james is trying to figure out who the void is feeding off but its both of them in radically different ways and the soundtrack is james in his most unguarded, deluded, myopic mind reflected back.

Took me a second, but it’s a song from the POV from a mass shooter, which is hilariously disturbing.
right up until the cutoff. theres a reason the "main voice" cuts out.

Just think for a moment about why the voice suddenly cuts out during the the loudspeaker portion shortly after "cops surrounding think they can make me stop"

I dig the song, but I think it's just mastered strangely. Like, the voice and the music don't really meld well.
Haven’t played the game yet. But from what I’ve seen of it, and from playing El Paso: Nightmare I think it’s intentional. Possibly to reinforce the odd, surreal alternate world the main character is fighting through. And then that sense that something feels off is then transposed onto the player.
If it were any other game I also would have chalked it up to just bad mixing as well. But with this one I don’t think that’s the case.
