Many thanks! Yes, I left the drone out. I would love to drone over the channels cut into the sides of the slough though. Will have to think about how to make that one happen since there is little access.
Great video! I like your camerawork and the nice, tranquil sounds you added! ;-) I was looking for a good video to show my 5 year old, who we're hoping to take out there soon! I think he really liked the images he saw here, and that we may have convinced him how cool it is! ;-D Cheers!
Thank you for this video, it's a year and 1/2 later but I would enjoy paddling that slough. Another paddler with a channel stated you have to be very experience or an expert to paddle the slough, it doesn't seem like it but I would love to see the wildlife!
@@Ziyanda1111 Elkhorn slough is a very easy paddle. You should be fine. The wind often blows hard in the afternoon, and there might be a light chop on the water. At times, it can blow very hard making it hard to paddle against. Go in the morning, and if there is wind on your return stick close to the side with the trees. Have fun! It's a wonderful paddle.
You should try it. You do not need a lot of experience to paddle it. If you're unsure, there are guided tours that will make you feel at easy. Contact Monterey Bay Kayak or Kayak Connection. The both operate out of the slough and offer trips. You can also rent a kayak from them and do your own thing. Going out of the harbor into open ocean does require more experience than the slough. So perhaps that's what your friend was referencing?
Thank you for the video. It was enjoyable to watch, especially when I love kayaking. I'll definitely visit Elkhorn.
Enjoy the paddle! Such a wonderful place for wildlife.
I really enjoyed this video. Elkhorn is one of my favorite places.
Thanks Debbie! One of my favorite places also.
Another nice video! I kept waiting for the overhead view though. No drone that day? Nice subtle music with the narrative. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice video, you've captured some amazing footage. I'll need to check out some of your other videos.
Many thanks!

Thanks so much! I hope the family has a great trip! We go there regularly and see something new every time.
Nice video.
Thanks for the visit

Really? A friend is taking me there as my first time paddling tomorrow. Should I be worried?
