Still come back to the grey space every now and again… Solo really blew it out at the park at such a young age with this masterpiece of a debut.. this song in particular is just so poetic and so powerful. Horrorshow will always hold a special place in my heart.. takes me right back to high school.. so much nostalgia. Thank you boys
Reminds me of living in my van, no plan, just driving up the east coast of AUS from SA , sleeping where ever, waking up, pumping this song and just getting pumped on life and taking in every moment of it. The life. Horrorshow have made history and continue to do so. Love.
Aus hip-hop saved my life! No joke, I would have ended my own life through depression and hard times a long time ago if all my favourite music talked about was guns/money/woman and cars. And horrorshow or illy or phrase and seth sentry might never know how much their lyrics really got me through the hardest times of my life but I know they write half this stuff in troubled times themselves and to help kids see a light at the end of the path is just something that i could never re-pay so ty guys!
I feel like Adit has taken inspiration for the guitar solo from the solo in Powderfinger’s We Should Be Together Now... an ode to a classic of contemporary Aussie rock
The kind of song that when your down and have given up, just picks you right back up and reminds you what it is that you still have to help you carry on.
my amazing friend sent me this song; and the second i listened to it, i just started crying uncontrollably. it really turned me around, made me try to think positive. horrorshow is the secret to my heart. i love these guys.
Having gone through such a hard period of my life recently, its been more or less this song (on some days just on repeat while I work) that has got me through it all, and I still listen to it whenever I feel the world coming down on me. Thankyou Horrorshow for such an uplifting song. And I got to see you at the Brissy gig (10/6/11) with 8000 of my other mates. I swear if you had played this song then, I would have lost my s***. So thanks for not playing it then lol. Peace.
I dont understand how drapht went mainstream sure it changed but it changed for the better he changed his style from songs like drink drank drunk to songs like people dont know and down cause a member of his crew got cancer from drinking and hes no longer signed with obese hes with the ayems and thanks horrowshow you guys are legends
Thanks for sharing. this is one of the most important hip hop songs i've heard. I really needed to hear this today to remind me that as Bill Hicks says, 'it's just a ride'. We're all going to be alright. Horrorshow - keep up the damn good work. keep sharing that real shit and rocking people to their cores as you have me this morning. you got soul.
Yeah when I get drunk I always tell them that this is to be my song. I should really write it down. It is really uplifting song, and the lyrics are so pure.
holy shit... no kidding, it dawned on me at some stage last year that this would be the perfect funeral song (i was in a particularly bleak mood at the time...) im surprised someone else thought the same!
@HarleyWS97 the third album will be a true test... i'm glad that they are taking their time releasing it and not rushing anything because it would be easy for the tone to get stale... they should take a cue from 360 who left a good 3 years between his 1st and 2nd album... gave it time and the success of falling and flying is a testament to the benefits of not rushing out the next effort Peace and love Horrorshow, you guys are fucking kings
i want marry this song, live with it for the rest of my life , then hopefully die with it in my arms. There is always these songs that make you smile and realize that life is fucking massive and theres so much to do. :)
@HipHopAus I think in a few songs, Solo does actually make reference to Slug ... But I think it's evident in any artist that they have an influence and you can see similarities in it ... But the truth of it is, Solo is a completely different artist to Slug ...
Without Horrorshow, Aus HipHop wouldn't be the same. 360, Kerser, they're all jokes. This is the true shit, HipHop is about the flow, the beats, the rythym.
@pattypaan Drapht was signed to Obese, and he went mainstream. Well not so much mainstream but his style changed so much all while still on obese. And thats what i mean with horrorshow
It was Bliss n Eso and 360 that got me into Aussie hip hop but it was Horrorshow who just fucking blew me away, and this song definitely takes the prize as the most moving, amazing hip hop song I've heard so far. P.S.: Is the shop in the cover art still there?
@kontrast1992 your heart is in for a disappointment... and how are they biting Slug? I've heard that comparison before, and know that Slug/Atmosphere are an influence, but they really don't sound that similar at all to me.
@kontrast1992 just cos someone makes same kind of deep songs that slug does does not mean they r biting them, there are hundreds of rappers like that..some are biting some not..these not

6 years later... Why did you gave up that life? Thinking the same, had enough of this life what i have.
Magic 🎉

this song is just too good, literally, it seems above what most people can even take in at one time. so damn awesome!

Not given enough recognition for their genius!
I feel like Adit has taken inspiration for the guitar solo from the solo in Powderfinger’s We Should Be Together Now... an ode to a classic of contemporary Aussie rock

I want to move to Australia this year, the sun and music are two things I could never get tired of. :)
The kind of song that when your down and have given up, just picks you right back up and reminds you what it is that you still have to help you carry on.

@theboss4223
Its my favourite album as well. it has such a flow it that i've never experienced in an album before
@HipHopAus I think in a few songs, Solo does actually make reference to Slug ... But I think it's evident in any artist that they have an influence and you can see similarities in it ... But the truth of it is, Solo is a completely different artist to Slug ...
@sullydero
Yeah.. Solo has a dope voice, and it meshes perfectly with Adit's production!
Don't wanna sound morbid, but this is so my funeral song if I die.
Without Horrorshow, Aus HipHop wouldn't be the same. 360, Kerser, they're all jokes. This is the true shit, HipHop is about the flow, the beats, the rythym.
if they take any advice from 360 the unique and amazing side of horrowshow will drift out the window
& it'll pass in the blink of an eye lid - Such is life
Big up ... Tune man.

It was Bliss n Eso and 360 that got me into Aussie hip hop but it was Horrorshow who just fucking blew me away, and this song definitely takes the prize as the most moving, amazing hip hop song I've heard so far.

***** i like all three as well as seth sentry
these guys performed in front of my school
is solo the rapper and addet the producer?
Yes, spelt Adit though. And Solo's name is Nick, which is referenced in a couple of songs, so that should help.
TheFineolase adit on the fader
@theboss4223
I only half agree. I also like Inside Story :-)
@kontrast1992 just cos someone makes same kind of deep songs that slug does does not mean they r biting them, there are hundreds of rappers like that..some are biting some not..these not
