@@hood7271 last time I played I just went to the storage area in any of the main cities top right of the UI had a drop down and had a list of all the cities and would show me what I had in each settlement. Unless your faction controls both settlements/territories you can't quickly drag your stuff but at least it showed all my stuff then I just used the quick travel methods to take all I could hold without being encumbered from one to another.
Here's a tip for New World. Unlike some other MMOs, when you attack something another player is attacking, you do not split xp gains. Every person that tags in battle will get full xp from that death, so make sure you tag every NPC you can. Running past another player to loot a crate w/o taking one swipe at the battle is just passing up skill gain.

You can still use your shield for an extra slot item with stats on it, like a round shield on a med armor axe and spear build is good bc you can get an extra 10 or points of str or dex

as a note, if you buy a house in the city you have your recall set to, you can then change the recall to another settlement and you can recall to both the city and your house with different cooldown timers.
Maybe mention the Attribute threshold for each attribute? Kinda important. Ex. Strength Threshold Bonuses 50: +15% damage to melee weapon light attacks, +10% mining speed 100: +20% damage to melee weapon heavy attacks, +20 encumbrance 150: +50% stamina damage from melee weapon light and heavy attacks, -10% decrease in weight of mined items 200: +20% damage on stunned, slowed, or rooted enemies, +10% mining speed

The roll would always dodge me too far for my combat style, I wear a shield specifically to up my weight into medium class. This allows me to dodge am attack and then leap straight back in instantly.
Nice tips. I just dont like the fast travel. Azoth payments are way high. (Weights a major factor as well) Some times can charge ya 200+ for one port. B4 lv 40 Id cap azoth all the time. After lv 40 constantly running out. With trade not being world combined that forces a player to travel as well. Wish theyd reduce travel by 1/2. Lastly, its also not worth changing crafting locations due to taxes. Youll spend way to much to move everything to a better taxed city. Might as well stay put. Question. Is there a simple or sure way to start the game together with friends? I need them to not quit early. So best way for that is to start the game all together in the same spot! If anyone has tips, that would be greatly appreciated.
Some say respawn a new toon untill you get the same, others say do intro missions and meet up at Yonas the Hermit, which is like an hour in, if you only do quests. So probably first idea is better.

You always have to craft unwanted items or buy them. Like u have to fish to get fish oil to make cooking oil if u want to cook. Or to make leather armor u need linen and iron ingots so you may as well gather the lot of it and get refining lol

Is the housing system bound to a single player? can the buffs coming from the housing system be applied to others (group/company members)? If not, is there enough houses in the world to be available for many ppl?
It looks like the housing is similar to that in black desert online. If you aren't familiar, multiple people can have the same house but you see your version of the house when you go inside.
hm... Auction houses doesnt shared between places is kinda annoying imo, i wonder if they'll change it in the future. imagine you do questing and stuff, and gotta run/port back to the "most populated" city just to sell your loots.

I know this is going to sound cheesy and pointless, but I think an important tip to note would've been "Just enjoy the game, take your time" because right now everyone is all about "Do this, do that" and it can feel rather taxing.

New world is more sandbox/survival so it definitely isn't going to be what a lot of people are looking for in an mmo. I've known this from the start. In alpha it was mainly survival PVP. Encumbrance, worst thing to ever happen to a game. It adds nothing to a game IMO. This will probably be the reason I quit the game. I will give the game a try, but encumbrance is a garbage mechanic. New world is not your traditional theme park mmorpg. I'd compare it more to skyrim or eso. It was originally a survival pvp game so its gonna have more of those realistic survival elements

That is just not true ! The levelling is great in this game . You got quests,events,world grind,dungeons and you can level from pvp+crafting jobs . I think its better then most.
actually many players said that the leveling was easy and everybody expected it to get more difficult. now they could actually make it a bit harder so you are intrigued to buy boosts but it doesnt really matter. many said that its awsome that they could take down players 5+ levels above them if they played smarter

Confused why ppl make this such a big deal ... literally WoW sells max lvl,FFxiv (this has boring lvling to a degree that makes you blow your head and you pay to skip months .. ) , BDO is nr 1 cash grab ,ESO has some exp scrolls as well , most games have not even given players a fair start ..
The storage shed also has a drop down option for all the other locations so you can see what items are stored at the other locations

Unless they changed it, houses also give you another fast travel option with its own cooldown (and i think no azoth cost)
Still is a function, the cool down is longer I believe it is 3 hours.

You can also reset the 3-4 hours house travel timer for cheap. I think around 50 azoth. Still cheaper than traveling on azoth on its own

You forgot to mention that going medium/heavy armor increases blocking and duration of CC you apply. There's a benefit to both light and heavy.

I just hope they have a camera option where you can adjust your field of view. That's something a lot of mmo's don't have upon release.

When you pre order the game you get a lumberjack set, not sure if it’s transmog or if it’s it own set.

you can not fast travel when encumbered. you can however respawn to a location.

Well that’s why you can purchase a house in the most populated city and set a camp near by and just fast travel back or use the inn.

Salvaging drops does not give materials anymore. It's in patch notes so it's public. You get repair parts and gold now. Materials are crafted only.

Tip 5 is the trap all game have with main and sides, yeah you might level faster but it's all a mish-mosh of blah blah story wise.

That is just not true ! The levelling is great in this game . You got quests,events,world grind,dungeons and you can level from pvp+crafting jobs . I think its better then most.
actually many players said that the leveling was easy and everybody expected it to get more difficult. now they could actually make it a bit harder so you are intrigued to buy boosts but it doesnt really matter. many said that its awsome that they could take down players 5+ levels above them if they played smarter
tbh even if it was boring, if you were with friends I think cracking jokes with them while leveling makes the game worth while.
@@olderbadboy They've slowed the leveling a couple times now.. this last time was the harshest though.
@@Frogglegs2002 there are no boost for 5,6 months . And what game does not have this ? Confused why ppl make this such a big deal ... literally WoW sells max lvl,FFxiv (this has boring lvling to a degree that makes you blow your head and you pay to skip months .. ) , BDO is nr 1 cash grab ,ESO has some exp scrolls as well , most games have not even given players a fair start ..
