Great looking bag. Couple of ideas could you make the strap so you can wear the bag while testing. That way you have all the probes etc with you while your going round. Put a magnet on the strap so you can put accessory screws on it when removing face plates etc. When you open the meter pouch have a small iPad pouch that pulls out with the screen accessible so you can fill out readings on the fly. Build the zeroing socket into the side of the bag so it’s not flapping about in wind. 👍
I wonder if you could put Solar up on your mezzanine and get enough from the window in the ceiling to top off the batteries and not block the natural light coming in? How to keep the utility feed just in case it's needed later. Although definitely stop paying for it if you can.
Great video as always you’ll be fighting artisan for sola jobs in no time. Great idea to take the unit off grid hope to see this in future videos Good luck Adam on your am2 be watching on your channel to see what you say about it And finally thoughts to you and your family with regards to granddad I know that trip your doing well and it’s not a nice one and only made worse for the reason your travelling norwich has some wonderful palliative care and I’m sure he’s in great hands
With the tester bag, I always find Kewtechs light bulb adaptors really useful, so more room for them or some sort of adaptor to let them hang on the outside could be handy
Could you put a clear paint protection film (PPF) across the solar panels? May stop water ingress and any shards of glass from falling? Great videos :)
Mezanine floor is a great way of making use of all the available space you have. You might not have any space in the unit horizontaly, but you do have loads of unused space vertically. Also maybe you could build some office space into it so you don't always have to do office work from home, this woill reduce any distractions and maybe go somewhat to giving you and your wife more space in your home.
Nick. I'm up north of England. I have just been asked to do a written quote for a rewire. The client spaecified what he wanted and didn't listen to my advice he was adiment that he got what he said he wanted. To comlete his request I had to go to more than one wholesaler. when I put in the quote, which was not accepted by the way. It came to £8340.83. including labour and skip disposal. Don't think that people really see that you have to make a living and pay utilities for your unit and home, and all before you get to put food on the table. Sometimes I think that people need educating.
If you want to go off grid look at getting a Sunsynk hybrid inverter, can hook up a generator to it. New panels are only 100 quid also I wouldn’t muck about with the broken ones bud
Hey Nick. I see you have a 3 phase electric meter in the unit!do you need the 3 phases? If not contact your supplier(edf)?? Ask for a single phase. May save you a wedge. Go for smart meter if your doing your solar project you may get a banging deal on tariffs if you contact octopus energy!
I think you might have to check the panels with a thermo camera once up and running for hot spots that might cause a fire, it is a chemical reaction that generates the power after all.
How about a bigger external pocket/pouch, that will fit a proving unit in, just enough so that it’s held but the contact points are still accessible, that way you can prove use prove your AVI’s quickly and easily. Hope that makes sense
Honestly a pouch pocket on the end for the clamp meter would be great. I'd also use the D ring bags if I needed to carry anything else, it's not like you need space for labels these days as we're carrying in the printer if it's needed separately anyway. Only thing I can think of that would be nice is Megger (and other companies) do the light fitting accessories for EICR/testing, GU10 adaptor, bayonet, ES/SES etc. Not 100% needed but it'd be nice to have the space for those - maybe a slightly bigger front pocket? I'll take 2 of them tomorrow please. Nice to see weekly back and ignore the idiots saying you're too expensive, most people are too cheap and sadly barely meeting requirements. Good luck to Adam on AM2, I know he'll smash it.
Great weekly mate you’ve sold me on the velocity gear I’ve got the stealth 400 and now want the drill pod but sold out just wondering if you know if they will be back in stock
the units looking really tidy these days! 😂😂 well it looks well used and thats good ok so its a tad everything everywhere... but organised chaos has its benefits (and your hardly there anyway!) jk 😂😂 seriously tho, the big fan?! tons of stuff for reviews?! how the heck you going to do everything?! hope your son is better now, less worry if he is ok! great look at them bags, im sure they will get a 101% really nicks happy with it eventually, part of the dev 😊
@@NBundyElectrical ironically, I feel better than before it happened... We will see when I am back at home how much has really changed.. but I am already back on my feet for the last 24 hours and I am being released tomorrow.. Just scary WHILE it was happening...
Be careful with the mezzanine floor. If the rates man see your video they’ll increase your rates on the unit with the additional space. Just a heads up. You may be exempt but just a thought.
£45 for my one bed flat with me on my pc all day. Some weird s*** uses a tonne of electric that people don't notice, stuff like storage/water heaters or air con/heaters eating 30p/hour each etc. Smart meters help a tonne. Even lowering the brightness on your tv can save you like 40 watts/hour.
Get a quote for solar + battery from Artisan, it'll make you feel better about your electricity bill 😂
😂
😂😂
Bet the little man loves coming to the unit. Used to love going to work with my dad as a lad! Keep up the good work 👍🏻

I’ve just finished a completely off grid unit with no grid supply at all 👌🏼
Ring you later ❤️
Did the magnet come off the sleeve it when you pulled off the board ?😂
yeah
New tool bags look great.
I like my 7.5 for all the space it has in it as its used mainly for fault finding so has a few tools in there as well.
Nick put an id card slot inside one of the flaps without a plastic window and you can put a calcard in it..😊

What a handsome boy. Should get him into doing some commercials or something 🤔 🤩

That's a big ass fan
Still in need of some battery lights for our storage locker ;) ;) and well, if theres a spare powerbank too... All for a good cause :)
Hidden internal pocket for the air tag possibly???

Is there anywhere for stickers?
Most inverters need power Nick - it’s to stop power going back into the grid in the event of a power failure - as counterintuitive as it seems!
Good luck Adam
Do you know any release dates for the nb 200 and sleeve it nick?

Make the base unzippable so if you did have two bags you can use the zip to attach them together sort of like a stacker box
What do you think of the tote bag?
yea like it mate, great grab bag or call out bag bud
Yay! A weekly!! 👏👏
Personally I would prefer a canceled area for an air tag inside the case as appose to the front
Could the new bags fit a wiha electricians hammer properly
That lightsabers ace!
Great weekly mate you’ve sold me on the velocity gear I’ve got the stealth 400 and now want the drill pod but sold out just wondering if you know if they will be back in stock
Same. Waiting on a restock
What's your favourite bag in the velocity range?
the trolls. 3k for a rewire? how. that doesn't even cover the materials. That's £150 per day for 25 days. Alone? Does that include chasing?
How can I buy Velocity bags with your discount in Australia?

300 squid a month! Maybe your neighbours are bowing it for a few growlights?
How’s the beard transformation going
Funny you say A&E... I'm currently sitting in one of the wards recovering from a heart attack I had on Friday morning...
Holy shit, hope your feeling okay dude

Sorry for your sad news 💚🇮🇪☘️
Nick I'd like to hear you try to break down a 3k cost for a rewire. HAhahahah I can just hear it. "work two days, run out of wire, go home".
OB1 lightsaber. Do you mean CB1? ?
It needs a pocket for a lockoff kit
