I think the fear of commitment stems from 1) either you weren't able to depend on anyone, or a past partner, but yourself the majority of the time in your childhood, so when there is potential partner, NOT POTENTIAL FRIEND, b/c its different, it creates this sus feeling b/c how could a PARTNER, not a friend, ACTUALLY be dependable or actually genuinely care. 2) or your emotional needs and child-like wants were never fulfilled, so you stayed quiet and never bothered to acknowledge your own emotions or wants b/c if the people in my household don't think its important, as a kid, why would it be important to the kid to acknowledge, you know? Also why would it be important to my partner who will know you to that deep level, if it wasnt to people that know me to that level? Its all just uncomfortable. Getting more in depth, but I believe its in the preschool stage ( 3-6yrs old) they believe others are right and their thoughts are wrong or it could be school-aged, which is from 6-12 yrs old................... 3) or you just probably never seen a genuine, fully fulfilled partners, healthy relationship in your household. Idk... I'm probably projecting... but that is my thought processes hehe
