It isn't really apparent until he has to raise his voice for things like battle dialogue, like the Heavenly Bladewing Mystic Arte. It also doesn't reach Troy Baker's baritone, and much of it, as a friend of mine described it, is very "first take" (as in they seemed to do just one take and went with it). He tried, though.
And how we supposed to understand the part about his first love 14 years older than him knowing that: 1) he is worse than a geisha in terms of how "she" lives parts of his life he doesn't aware about; 2) he is male, yeah, but anunnaki one, not human at all, which means that he can AND WILL be a mother himself at some point later ; 3) 14 years is the age difference between him and Raven 35-21=14. And Raven says the line about "HER" FIRST LOVE himself. Should we still love this trainwreck of a Sumerian mythos based game?..

Given the circumstances, he does an impressive job. It’s never a fair deal when a VA has to fill in for Troy Baker.
People just have a hard on for Baker.
I think they did a great job, but it feels like they didn't bother using proper equipment or enhancing the voices to make it a better quality
The problem is when it swaps between them mid cutscene or in battle (it sounds like an Ai voice)
