By far the best part of Zestiria is when gameplay is not happening. The world is beautiful, some of the characters are pure delight, and the skits are a lot of fun. Actually playing the game kinda sucks, though… XD

Now, admittedly, I've only played three Tales games: Tales of Graces, Tales of Berseria, and Tales of Zestiria, with Graces being my first. Graces was surprisingly intuitive for a noob like me, and I really got into the gameplay, enough so that the shift to my second Tales game, Berseria, was a little jarring. Once I got the hang of Berseria, it was fluid and rewarding and really satisfying to nail, I went back to Berseria after I finished Zestiria and platinumed it because the combat felt so good. But Zestiria was a fucking dumpster fire - the controls were ass, I couldn't do much more than mash a button and pray I was a high enough level to win; only the hope of seeing more skits or cutscenes containing Edna, Zaveid, or Edna and Zaveid motivated me to keep going. I finished the whole game, mind you, even beat the postgame dungeon, but even when I had to git gud enough to win Zaveid's malevolent crucible, only his one-liners for hitting female enemies motivated me to push through. Zestiria's gameplay FUCKING SUCKS and I don't see how anyone can think otherwise.

Unfortunately, re-recording the skits with the JPN voices and uploading them into a separate video would take a bunch of time I don't have right now. I'll keep your suggestion in mind for Berseria though (which I'm also planning to record both languages for + timestamp skits for).
