A running commentary adds juice to the show. Makes watching the performance more gripping, exciting, nail-biting and personal. Ruling out the commentary wld make things dull and insipid. More like a mime show, but without a punch. Besides, a running commentary so electrifying, delivered in the spur of the moment, deserves a bow, not hate.
Unfortunate for Oleksii Novikov, but who is better to win than Luke Stoltman ?

Strongman still uses stopwatches… There’s too many events for us to get laser beams and pressure pads etc. This has never happened before and likely won’t happen again

Poor equipment? They used stopwatches, like most sporting events, that are operated by people, which are fallible. So they went to the replay and watched it frame by frame... and it was a tie. What did they do wrong? 🤷
