Excellent video. I was born and raised in Oxford, die-hard Ole Miss fan. I now live 50 miles north, but I've never taken my eye off things down there for long. This high school my son played for plays Oxford every year. You could hardly get a ticket during the Metcalf years. We've all heard the phrase, "Men among boys." NEVER have I seen this more accurate than with Metcalf in HS. Opposing teams actually looked forward to playing Oxford just to see what all the buzz was about. Metcalf DOMINATED. When he went to Ole Miss the talent was just as obvious. But he got hurt a couple of times, and he played on a team that possessed a WR that was actually (unbelievably) better than he was - AJ Brown!! Do yourselves a favor and go watch any of those Ole Miss games (or the highlights) from 2015-18. That offense was unbelievably prolific and FUN! If Ole Miss had been able to field a decent defense, they'd have been national contenders. Their offense was among the best in the nation, and so much of it was the result of the NWO - the Nasty WideOuts: AJ Brown, DK Metcalf, and Demarkus Lodge (and a future 3rd rd pick for the Buffalo Bills, TE Dawson Knox)
The fact that this dude wasnt picked in the top 10 let alone the first round, blows my mind. If the steelers hadn't snuck up for Bush, Metcalf would've been the right pick lol. Metcalf will be one of the best receiver in the nfl for the next 10 years.

He probably would have because Doug can take the double team from the slot, leaving Tyler and DK alone on the outside, plus Baldwin is one of the better route runners during his time in the NFL, easily could have helped DK's route tree as he did for Tyler, though, he did say that Tyler was more polished than he was entering the league.
Um, yeah it did. It clearly talked about his inability to stay healthy in college with a litany of injuries (including a serious neck injury), his bad 3-cone drill time, and how scouts started to view him as just a deep threat who couldn't develop into a route runner. Did you even watch the video?
First pick in my fantasy league, then Travis Kelce and Russel Wilson followed by Derek Henry. Not bad. Love Metcalf, I know it’s early in his career but I see greatness in his future. I guess Belicek missed out on this one,

Damn, that Transformation with the help of Jason Russell was amazing. PED's can work wonders lol
I said last year that if DK ever developed hands that were even half as good as teammate Tyler Lockett's, he'd be unstoppable.
And that is happening.
He has way better hands than last year
@@datpandadude1392 Very true.
wow, hot take man
Thank you for letting us know the young messiah at 3:17 was not in fact D.K Metcalf
The fact that this dude wasnt picked in the top 10 let alone the first round, blows my mind. If the steelers hadn't snuck up for Bush, Metcalf would've been the right pick lol.
Metcalf will be one of the best receiver in the nfl for the next 10 years.
We really got jj arthega whiteside 🤦🏽♂️
Teofimo will beat that midget Loma he was solid and Alshon Jeffrey was supposed to be your big body receiver but then he got injured.
Should’ve chosen the other Blackside instead.
Probably the worst WR in the whole class
Eagles are idiots
The gridiron heights draft special with DK is amazing
Rob Webster guys... who’s gonna tell him
You have to give Russel some of the credit. One of the top quarter backs in the NFL today. Russel and DK will be the the best the NFL has seen in a long time..
Loved how they showed Howie when he said a gut feeling. 😂
Yeah..he is a good "numbers" GM but his drafting is awful. Taking JJ over Metcalf and Reagor over Jefferson 🤦♂️
Let the doubters be doubters!! He landed with the perfect team. He’s playing with Russell Wilson and Pete carrol!!
DK has some of the most potential in the league he’s only going up from here
Very humble kid and just a beast. I hope Seahawks can keep him for his whole career.
Wonder why AJ Brown also fell considering he was the better prospect and also better player in general
Adust Gaming coming from a titans fan
He fell off because of his character
dk might have the slight edge in my opinion but their really similar.
@@yourmomachicken5933the big thing is dk has a massive massive QB advantage but AJ still producing
Adust Gaming aj is really good but dk is target #2
D k is a beast
Pull out the whole damn seal imma get lazy

We ain’t bump that song no more we moved on ages ago
@@treycotter nigga what you mean? Its literally the top song in pretty much the world rn. So that means EVERYONE is still singing it lol. So yeah dawg, its not old just yet. Nigga you just saying stuff 😂
Dwayne Jones u don’t u know to read bro he wasn’t talking about the song he was talking about the Staaaalllllinnnn dumbass
Just glad we got the kid. RW3 is the perfect mentor for him, with the same kind of chip on the shoulder
Cannot believe he fell so far because of a 3 cone drill. I had him going 7th to the Jaguars, but, being the Seahawks fan I am, I am elated we got him
American Metal Head 7 way too high
Leo M. Well the Jags needed a reciever
0:52 mark coach B holding up his binoculars backwards. Comedy gold
Dk is doing his best for just coming out of the draft and needs time to fully get used to the Seahawks offense
The Seahawks are amongst the best teams at drafting wrs and getting them to perform. At least in the Pete Carroll era.
They could've just said in the video to make it shorter that they thought he wouldnt be good because his 3-cone
S&C Coach Russell and Mr Metcalf... thank you. We just love DK in Seattle. I knew he was going to be great and I'm no expert.
2:04 1.6% Body fat? If I'm a cold-weather team, that would raise red flags for me. That's beyond unhealthy, even though he proved he can work with that.
This was a joke... right??
Other athletic trainers have said his body fat is closer to the 6-7% range. 1.6% simply isn’t believable.
If its 1.6% he would be dead. You cant really go below 3%. He is more around 6-8%. Just Google 3% and you'll see hes not close to that.
Kevin Grelle you can go below three... but only for around a week most of the time less
@Christopher Palmer no way 10% way to high. He's probably aroundy 5 or 6.
Great video!
3:30 GET TO THE GOD DAMN POINT!
No
I already knew he was going to be a very good receiver. He landed in the perfect spot.
Metcalf is a stud! So glad he's a Hawk.
Seattle's always been criticized for their drafts and yet seattle always a playoff team year in and out whatever pete and john do I'm glad they do it cause it works
Imagine Cards taking him w Josh Rosen pick instead of Isabella 😩
Lol I still dont know why they did that.
I remember thinking to myself, I should work in a scouting department because only an idiot would take andy over DK.
This is my favorite TPS video
Thank you NFL for letting Seattle get him and now y’all gonna regret it
Falling that low may have honestly been a blessing in disguise for him, if he had gotten picked by most of the top 10 draft picks he would have gotten a terrible qb throwing him passes
with Metcalf and Lockett, Wilson had dangerous targets - the D has to get better though
true but it seems to be all coming together
I always find it funny that the Seahawks have a bad defense now.
"Not actually DK Metcalf" got me lmaooo
It’s a good place for DK Metcalf to start his career no it’s a good place for him to start and end his career go hawks
How can u not be unbelievably happy getting to learn from Pete Carol and Russell Wilson!!! Also he looks like a sculpture and with good family values. Great video!! He seems to b doing very well, i was upset when the Eagles didn't try to get him, he would have fit in good in Philly
3:16
Tell me he reminded us that a white kid was not metcalf
Lolol
Omg
D.K. Metcalf's black!?!
Tyler Hunkele WHY DIDN’T THEY TELL US HE WAS BLACK?!?
Dalton Watson they stupid
0:26 damn this music was the background music fo my sophomore season Highlights 😂
As a hawks fan I hate to admit it but if Angry Doug didn't retire DK wouldn't have had the season and development he had last yaer
@@321Camera The volume of passes DK got early on would not have been there drastically cutting into his production and chemistry with Wilson.
@@maxwelljones7213 He was training with Russ after he got drafted, so the chemistry was built during the summer
i bet a lot of those teams that passed on Metcalf are kicking themselves now.
Ravens picked marqusee brown over him 😂😂
Yea brown is fast but he’s also like 5’10 and really small frame compared to dK
My friend’s grandfather was the coach of dk at Oxford high school and when dk came to visit the high school my friend got his autograph
Go Seeahawksss
When I saw the comparison of Metcalf vs Julio 👀 my mind was blown
Pretty sure Julio times under 4.4, was at least 3.39 from what I remember?
With his speed and physique u automatically think TO Julio and Calvin even if he happened to be a bust u still have to take a chance on that
Exactly
He wasn’t a bust either😂he will definitely get the ball this coming up season💯
You should do videos and redo the 2018 or 2019 nfl 1st draft based off the nfl production
This doesn’t Awnser the question why he was drafted late this is just a life story
I guess Belicek missed out on this one,
I got him in the sixth round. I drafted Henry, Conner, Jones, Amari, Woods, Metcalf and Murray as my first 7
Fkin Nkeal Harry....We coulda had Metcalf instead we got that bum...Metcalfs gonna be a stud for a long time.
He drop bcc he was on and off, he would catch passes and there were time he was have a night where he drop passes
He megatron. Glad to be a Seahawks fan. Cus no one stopping metcalf
Unfortunately he costed himself some money with that poor 3 cone performance, would have been better for him if he didn't run that drill
Trying to think of a tall receiver that relyed on his change of direction to be successful? The short guys got to have some advantage.
Better for him? He landed on a perennial playoff team with the best deep ball thrower in the league....I don't think he's upset
Dalton v I think I see a Seahawks fan
The Seahawks are not really my team but I love to watch them now. I always liked to watch Russell Wilson but now with this DK Metcalf threat I really love watching the Seahawks play and watch every game I can. It’s hard to beat that duo!
Second comment!
Megatron didn't even do the 3-cone drill at the combine. Likely his results would have been similar to Metcalf's.
First comment
Omg
Dk is going to have a big year this year!
When you run 4.33, you don't need sharp breaks. Any jab step is going to be 2x more effective because he can blow past you.
And yah, turns out he's got an elite jab step. Whodda think.
It’s funny because He’s one of the most feared receivers in the league now😭😭😭😭
As a hawk fan I'm personally happy he was underrated 😂
You can tell he is going to be a big star in the league. So happy Seahawks drafted him for Russell.
Definition of paralysis by analysis 😂 Glad you dropped to us and you have one of the best 2 QBs in the league tossing throws to you. Go Hawks!
We have such a solid core locket metcalf moore
That "long lanky freshman" would be one of the biggest kids at my school😂🤦🏻♂️
All I have to say here is I'm glad we got him!
1. Aj brown. 2. Dk metcalf. 3. Hardman 4. Scary terry don’t st me by the way these are only the rookies top 4.
He had durability questions coming out of college but glad to see that he is doing well
B00fpack ' nah bruh his shoulders and legs too small to have an LB build and being under 5% body fat is detrimental hence why he was hurt a lot in college
I would not trade DK Metcalf for no other receiver in the NFL. He is the best receiver in the NFL. So glad Metcalf is a Seahawk. What i like most about Metcalf, one of the most humble players in the NFL. All the best to this young man. Well deserved.
