I watch this video over & over. The mother and her adorable little cubbies are such a joy to see and hear! I love to see the mother tobogganing down the hill and rolling around so happily, then cuddling with her youngsters. This shows the true mother instinct and love that polar bears have for their offspring. The den she has created for them is truly wondrous. Polar bears are a miracle of nature created by a Higher Power. We must respect them and preserve their habitats!

Such utter beauty! The sweet mother love shown by the polar bear tells us all that this noble creature has such purity of spirit that we are indeed privileged to share this planet with this blessed polar species. Long live polar bears!! I watch this over and over, it's so beautiful!

These polar bear cubs look so cute. It comes from Planet Earth. As far as I can remember, both of those two cubs made it to adulthood.

Did the researchers ever keep track of these specific bears? Im sure the mother has probably gotten old if not passed away by now but what of the cubs? Were they ever tracked?
@fedexmol I'm sure you'd love to live the carefree life of a polar bear- often starving, competing with a slew of other creatures- often violently- just to survive in a world growing increasingly inhospitable. How nice it must be to watch a seal escape from your grasp or be taken by another polar bear, leaving you and your cubs to starve for another week at least...

I just read the comment about going insidea polar bear's den. I, too, would love to curl up and cuddle with these amazingly ,stunningly beautiful creatures in their warm den. But, thinking about it, it would be wrong to intrude on the bears' natural habitat and disturb them. We must leave them alone to live out their lives as polar bears, in nature, and save their environment for the present and the future that they may have many more cubbies and multiply fruitfully

i didn't know polar bears dug snow holes and made them their homes!
@lilbunnyjin they only take part in the impregnation. the female take care of the cubs on her own. She keeps her distance to other bears, because male bears tend to kill cubs that are not their own, so that they themself get a chance to impregnate the female.

Not in the strict sense of the word. True hibernators experience a marked drop in heart rate and body temperature and generally stay for a long period in a den. Polar bears instead enter a state of walking hibernation where their metabolism slows. Only pregnant polar bears enter a den, give birth, and emerge three months later.
What a pity and great loss, that polar bears will die out because of global warming !
