Carpe Mortem means "seize death!" Kind of like seize the day, maybe more like seize the night. That fits you❤ Teresa, I just wanted to tell you, you made me cry. When you started talking about your crash course into quilting, I was so moved by that. Next year I'll be 70 (I can hardly believe that!) I have always wanted to learn to quilt but have yet to find anyone to teach me. I have sewn, embroidered and cross stitched since I was a child. I was lucky to have a super patient mom, Pollie. She taught me everything! I'd love to attend Fanciful Flamingo Retreat, I live in Tampa Bay.
I love your channel. I always am so excited to watch your flosstubes. I wish you didn’t live sooo far away. I’m in GA. I’d love to meet you one day and stitch with you. We like the same kind of stitching patterns and you are so funny and sweet. Thanks for sharing! 💖
So good to see you and your projects! I'm so glad you got to retreat with your friends (and your boys, too). I hope that your garden finishes strong this season 🍅 Have a great week, and happy stitching 💜
It's Great to see you!! ❤Thank you for Sharing an Update.😊 Delighted to see your progress. Love Stitching parts of Ardith Designs- Chesapeake Bay Treasures. Happy Stitching and Quilting!🪡🧵
I have missed your beautiful happy self so much. But I live on an empty farm where l grew up with my four sisters! Man it used to be busy!! So l understand working in one garden or another from start to harvest all summer into fall!! And hot!!!!!!!!!! North West Alabama!!! I’m 70 now and l have one sister left and she lives 1 1/2 hrs NORTH of me. So l live here alone with my nearest child being 1 1/2 hrs West in Mississippi. I so love you and was so happy to see this video up. I love your stories and stitching so much!!! Bless you with all you have to do there on your farm!!!!!! Keep your smile on and keep doing what you do❤❤❤
So glad you are back. I think you are adorable. I love the way you ask us questions. I find myself answering all of them as if you are here with me. You have truly been missed.
It was so fun meeting you at Brick City and then retreating with you at Stitch Florida!! I absolutely love your sense of humor! Hope I get to retreat with you again in the future. I finished my flamingo spool by Crafty Blue Bonnet at the retreat as well, but now I want to restitch it on summer sunrise - that color is awesome. Have a wonderful week. ❤
So good to see another video! I totally figured you were busy with your garden and preserving 🍅🥒🌽🫑🫛 my memory is terrible and I’ve been watching your video in chunks throughout the day but I loved seeing your awesome finishes and other stitching. Oh oh I do remember you influenced me to add a bunch of October house patterns to my wish list 😅
I have been to Shipshewana twice and we stay at the hotel right across the street from the Flea Market. We love the Amish and the restaurants around there are so awesome. It is such a beautiful place to visit and to relax at the same time. Love the horses too. I am going to stitch a Amish piece from the Prairie Schooler. Love all your projects. Happy Stitching.
YESSS!! We camp every single weekend just outside of Shipshe (as the locals lovingly call it), and we have learned so much about the Amish community! We love to go shopping at the local bulk store called E&S, a ton of awesome spices/herbs/flours/sugars at such reasonable prices!! So happy you went and enjoyed Shipshe!!
You. Are. A. Hoot.!!! So glad you made a video, I even started watching your early videos while waiting for you to make a new one😅. I'm an Aida stitcher so thanks for sharing your Aida projects💙🪡🧵. Take care .
I think LIFE IS TOO SHORT, to do nothing, so sad. I myself have nobody to stitch with, Stitch once in awhile with sister, not often enough. Sure live your Quilt on the door, such fun. So nice meeting you, Carolann from Duluth, Minnesota saying Hello.❤😊
All good Teresa….the garden takes time…being a mama takes time. We are so happy to see you but will wait for the videos. No apologies needed. You are human. You are loved. 🦉🌞
Oh my gosh, you have just made me fell so much better about the summer desert I have been wallking through! I have been quilting, but not in any big way...Oh well. OK I would really like the recipe of the dip from Jenny and Nancy...in fact why don't you get together and do a dip recipe booklet ... even PDF! Genius! O goodness just love you girl. So happy to sit with you a bit.
Welcome back! You've had a fun & busy summer! Sorry I wasn't able to meet up with all of you in Stitch FL .. wasn't able to take the time off at work. Hopefully next time as looked like so much fun!! Enjoy the rest of your summer! 😊
I had to laugh a little as I am watching this today its Bike week in Sturgis. Yes Nancy's cake batter dip is the best. I get so excited every time she makes it!
Hi Teresa, it was great having you visit Dogwood Chapter, EGA for our annual Giant Stitch In and Stash Sale on Saturday in Atlanta. Hope you had fun and got some great stuff!
@Crabapple1402 Oh! Thank you! It was a fun adventure for us and I found a magazine I've been searching for months for! I'm surprised you didn't hear me holler, "Hot dog!"
❤I love your videos. So many cute patterns and your personality bubbles from the screen. I love your stories and your laughter. I smile through the entire flosstube. Glad your back & hope to see you soon.
Missed your face! So glad you’re back friend. Thanks so much for buying some bags at the retreat! (I’m glad they didn’t have to fall off the back of a truck)❤
So good to see you again. Knew you were in the garden. Love your stitching - it’s what I do most but would love to hear about any of your tips for mastering the quarter inch seam. I am a terrible piecer.
I have missed seeing your videos! You’re always so entertaining, Locke you were traveled all over with the road atlas. I was copilot most of the time. Yes we are still married and getting ready to celebrate 38 years. Okay o want some recipes! Where are they?
Glad to see you back. I hear you clucking girl about pretty much hibernating for two weeks in August during the rally. We hit the base for some groceries and I’m in till it’s over. Plus we are supposed to be 101 Saturday praying the ac keeps running.
I was soooo looking forward to meeting you in Florida - but Hurricane Beryl wiped out my vaca when it decided to take down our garage with a 90 ft. Pine tree. Hello Deductible, goodbye Stitch Florida 2024… 😢
PPS. (or is it PSS? 🤣) I am still laughing ...dead skin 🤣. I had to google, but it means "seize death" or "grasp death" not really better than dead skin.....Gosh thank you I have been laughing all morning and I Really Needed It!❤
I missed you so much! You are so fun to watch! I was wondering if you could tell my the fabric you used for your new retreat bag? It is beautiful and I would love to be able to get some for a bag as well. So glad you are back!!!
I so need you near me to teach to quilt. I am working on one but need to have a basic knowledge. That 1/4 inch is what I need to master. Teaching yourself is tough
Believe it or not, I was thinking of you the other day. Your retreats always sound so great. Glad you had fun! I still struggle with 1/4 inch seams. Any trick you can share? I use to can from the garden, hard to get anything else done. We have downsized our garden now that we are older. Again, good to see and hear of your adventures!
You are so much fun to watch. I am glad you had a good time at retreat. Was your trip to Shipshewana for a retreat? I went there on my way to see my son last April. I loved it and can’t wait for an excuse to return! Thanks for sharing with us!

Hey!! Would it be possible for you to do a tutorial about quilting here on your channel? Especially squaring up fabric ….
PS....I love the Patriotic Santa, question do you use the called for floss or would you share your red and green? Love ya
@sarahpatedaniell619 I did use the called for floss 🎅
