That’s cool I just got an axial gap liquid cooled motor it is 19 kw continuous and 44 kw Peak it’s a permanent magnet brushless three phase AC. Motor 650 amps , but dc to the controller. Hopefully it goes as good with that

@@sniglib1 It surely would be superior to that stinky stock 2-stroke engine. Only problem I see is that the space inside the chassis is not the best to place batteries.

One bad thing about the electric motors is that they lose all of their torque in the top end but Im sure they can find a way to help make up for the powerloss at higher speeds by backing the electric motor up with different gearing or something
There isn’t a whole lot of need for torque on the top end. If you need an extra gear than maybe use an ac motor or something that spins faster. 🤷🏼♂️
You can use Field weakening to gain torque on top end.
Something similar to what's used in a car to control that perhaps

Let's see it climb? Anything other than pretty much flat ground. How long does a charge last?... What's the risk of a battery exploding? Or submerging it in water??... Can it take 4-8 hours of riding hard?... I'll just stick with my gas 450....

Word has it that the cyber quad uses a 4kw electric system. Mine is 32kw which equates to around 8 x the power.

This is a fun looking quad but the Tesla cyber quad maxes out at 75-100 mph

Realistically, going over 60mph on a quad is pretty sketchy. If the Tesla quad goes 100mph it's a death machine.

with that set up it would be 32kw peak comfortably, although continuous is only rated at 13kw. It's a brushed motor system though, and probably not the most efficient.
@@plebiansociety it’s a Brushless motor capable of 44kW peak.
