I love the this trailer its beautiful. The opening cutscene with Blackbeard telling the pirates about the legend of Edward Kenway is incredible too. They truly struck gold with how this game feels, it’s so free and liberating. The vibes from this game are still as strong as the day it released!
Edward has the best story in my opinion. He went from taking the Assassins outfit just to receive gold, as a pirate would, to learning about the Templars and Assassins and falling in with the guild to stop the Templars and the Sage from using the Observatory, to becoming one of the most famous assassins along side Ezio and Altaïr.

Every AC game has had a large audience of approval for each game. ACIV was great I agree :) but they all have been good/great with massive productions. I'll leave it at that.
Ziad Mohamed revelations was the shittest game in the series, the thing that made up for it was what was happening in the campaign, but i think that game wanted to give you unfair desynchronizations for everything you did, altairs story was fun though

I love altair for the philosophy and wisdom and stoicism. I love ezio for the heart poured out and life lessons he shared and made me feel and realize. But i love edward for the relatability of defying other people and living by my own creed in my own definition of good.
Whatever u guys say, but after ac4, unity, syndicate sucked, origins was a good start but then odyssey and now Valhalla. I miss that iconic era of assassin's. Not some viking or roman empire bs, after all the assassin's creed logo signifies a hood in the dark serving the light.
I remember this one mission, you chase this guy on a small island, he gets on his ship and the hunt fluently continues. This game was great and I belive that one day we will get a worthy follow up.
These cinematics look so good, I don't get why they don't make a full movie but as 3d characters like these ones instead of real actors, personally it would look so much better
Ezio was the same way, he damn near choked a guy to death with the rope he was going to be hanged by in AC revelations. Edward didn't have the time nor was going to put in that kinda effort into making the guy who touched his hood pay, so it seems like he just settled for pimp slapping the fool.

The reason why Edward is so different in the trailer than his game counterpart is because Abstergo actually made the trailer as stated in the game. They wanted to give Edward a more young fresh look.

I remember the old days when I watched this trailer and my hype for this part of Assassin's Creed grew to unimaginable proportions. Black Flag did not disappoint me. The good old days
It’s been a while since I played this. Started another save file today, playing from the beginning. I am just gonna say it’s bringing back lot of memories, the nostalgia is real. The only sad part is that I can’t experience the feeling while playing this game for the first time again.

It is great and aged well but I still remember the massive controversy with gamers complaining it wasn’t assassin’s creed enough, some things never change huh
