I ended up with an 012 today, I went to get a Squire Tele , but it arrived damaged out of the box,in store. I grabbed this for the same price ,off the wall !! They had already done 3/4 of the set up ,so it was ,at least in playing condition. After playing for 2 hours, through my little modeling amp , I think I made a GREAT, impulse decision ,I will not regret !! Budget Teles ,are notorious for being hard to set up.Plays and sounds comparable to the upper models , except the one with the P90 in the neck ! Hard to go wrong!

Pick of the bunch for value, versatility and performance is the 311H AFAIC. 612VII is a great guitar, but at its pricepoint but so too is the 112V. I have all three for basis of comparison. Love 'em all. PAC012 if a parent paying for a kid going through THAT phase, or a junior who is self-funding on a tight tight budget beginner.

I got a 611hfm last month and it's simply the best guitar I've ever played. I also own a yamaha apxt2 which I use to practice and a yamaha apx600 because I was a big fan of the apx series. I also own a epiphone special ve it's an ok guitar... But I think I will sell it because the epiphone is not for me.

Got a 112 a couple of weeks ago. Sounds pretty good, and feels pretty good for the price. I had the possibility to study every different Pacifica models before buying one, and it looks like the more expensive they are, the better hardware. Obviously. Also, I have noticed beautiful tops on the higher end models, but I am very curious about one thing. I hadn't the possibility to play all the models, and I wanted to know if there is a difference in feeling. My 112 feels good, of course but not as good as my 1000 and more bucks. What about, for example, that 612?

You left out the 112j the one that is alder body (012 is nato). Then it's easier to upgrade it to the other models that are alder body also. I believe you get same neck on lower price as you do higher priced Pacifica's. Mine has pearl like inlays that actually show colors. This is never mentioned in these videos. I have the 112j in Lake placid blue. I put Wilkinson bridge and some alnico v on it, and it sounds great.

I see. It's an interesting idea.
    By the way?
I've been told officially by a Yamaha employee that only special orders and repairs are handled by Japanese craftsmen in Japan (I've been told this directly by a Yamaha employee). However, 99% (?) of acoustic and electric guitars are no longer manufactured in Japan. They are no longer made in Japan, and no Japanese craftsmen are in charge of them. You know, they are made in overseas factories.
I know, right? From the perspective of the management of Yamaha, which aims to be a global company, this is probably a natural progression, so I guess I'll take it as a positive thing. I think it's a serious situation.
Good or bad, Yamaha has trained guitar craftsmen in Japan, and has done a great job in accumulating skills. But now that the manufacturing plants have moved to Asia and other places, there will probably be a big decline in terms of training Japanese craftsmen and passing on traditions, that's for sure.
I think we're coming to the end of an era in guitar manufacturing in Japan.
The population is going to decrease even more.
    HEADWAY
    ASTURIAS
    K yairi
    Takamine
Which of the manufacturers who have their production bases in Japan and handmade by Japanese craftsmen will survive in the end? Times are going to get tougher.
I'm sure times are going to be tough.
    As for FERNANDES
I think the only thing FERNANDES can sell anymore is Zo-3. I guess it was a great success as a colorful guitar project, but don't you have any pride as a guitar maker? I guess, but FERNANDES is not a manufacturer.
    They're a distributor.
Well, I guess we're doomed to disappear.
We don't have anything to sell.
But if you get prisoners to make guitars, and put a slogan like, "We created an electric guitar with new specs to rehabilitate criminals," you might be recognized as a company that contributes to society.
    I don't think so.

weird not having the 311h considering he was playing it, the 611 at over double the price , the 311h ( if you're not fussed about a trem) is the one , the pickups maybe not duncan's but they sound fantastic, i have the 311h in metallic red.

311 is really nice too, it just doesn't come with the Seymour Duncan pickups, and imo the 611 SD neck p90 is just lovely...

    • @theblytonian3906
      @theblytonian3906 ปีที่แล้ว

@@cachebangwallop3482 It's OK, but if anything, that is the singular aspect if anything which renders buying a 611H over the 311H moot! The G&B (YGD OEM) neck P90 in the 311 is so similar to the Seymour P90 in tone and output, any argument using that as a decider is a straw argument unless the silkscreen logo printed on the cover is what is truly prized. The Humbuckers can certainly be debated over, but if one leaves brand familiarity and perceived status bias out of it, at the end of the day both have pro and con characteristics which are subjective to the individual listener's tonal bias and purpose.
The aesthetics and Seymour fitout of the 600 series undoubtedly will influence many as it did me when I bought my 612VII. Cosmetics notwithstanding, both 611H and 311H each have unique characterises favouring user preferences. i.e. Satin vs gloss neck feel/appearance. Opaque vs translucent FM body colour. Ignoring the GraphTech string saver saddles of the 611 which are another opinion divisive item, the major difference comes down to the respective bridge humbuckers. Both are excellent guitars. I bought the 311H BTW, but respect your own preference.

If you want to test a guitar .. then test the guitar .
If you put gain on , or distortion.. your testing the amp , and the guitar sound it gone .
Play through a even EQ clean channel .. using the guitar P U s and tone controls etc to put more or less treble / bass .
But play each PU and each guitar with the same settings ..
Then you have some chance of a comparison ..
And don't just blast into the same old blues riffs you had for years .. play the sound in low / middle / and higher registers.. so the guitar can be heard , after all that's what its about .
I'm looking at getting a medium Pacifica ..and upgrading it ..
Different quality pick ups.. a different wiring design I made for it .. quite a few things .. so I'm collecting info on them ..
Your not saying anything about the scale length shape of the neck , type of wood ..
Saying things like , silky smooth , and , quality finish , is not helping ..
    Pull yourself together man .
Do some work.. put a proper review together..
Tell us something about it you don't find in the yamaha sales brochure..
    Take it to bits ..
Tell about the frets . How is the neck fixed , screwed? Bolted ?
Come on man , jeez .. telling us things like ..
It has 2 singles and a neck humbucker..
You do know .. we can see that .. tell us what we can't see ..
    Basically ..
    Review a guitar ..
