First n foremost I think it is required that you have SP1 - heat accumulator and SP3 - weighted blades on your plasma cutter. I’ve tried doing it by respecting my cutter without those mods n it didn’t work. So with that out of the way…. Knock the enemy down with a melee and while it’s down shoot off it’s legs. Stasis should be thrown pretty quickly after the third shot/leg fall off. If you see the loot flowing spam stasis on it while (depending on how u have time spec) finish killing off the crawlers.. after the crawlers are dead continue with the stasis every 3 - 5 seconds.. IMPORTANT don’t do it more than 2 min. 15 seconds, it will crash the game. I do it for about 2 minutes to be on the safe side even then it could crash. Another thing I noticed was that if i shoot the enemy more than the 3 shots it won’t work.
Was able to do this trick without the weighted blades but it is very inconsistent fyi i believe it would be much easier with the blades as you don't have to time the stasis shot when they hit the floor, so you might as well wait until you have that upgrade.
