That last thing he says is so true. If I meet a male friend that I haven't seen for a while my wife will want to know things like "where's he working now?" or "is he still with Stephanie?" or "how are his parents doing?" and I'm like "I have no idea". We didn't talk about any of that stuff!
Have loved these dudes working together for like 25+ years now. I remember hearing (or reading) Simon or Nick tell the Mouse Droid impression story before too, ha.
That bit Simon said at the very end is very much a male friends thing. I get quizzed like that often. Brian Regan did a funny bit on it - look up 'Typical guys on the golf course' x
I always heard it was a guy friend who was rooming with Nick, Simon came over, they hit it off, the other guy moved out, and Simon moved in. The rest is history. (And Nick now regrets the “alright, gayyyy.” bits in Shaun, since they pushed their bromance into casual MM PDA.)
Their musing on friendship is not only true but something that, regrettably, isn’t talked about and celebrated nearly as much as it needs to be. Friendship is the greatest treasure we can have in life. Not a romantic relationship, not family, but friendship. A romantic relationship always comes with vested interests from both parties, so whatever friendship is there to begin with will always be twisted by those interests. Family is a forced dynamic; sure, you can be lucky enough to get along with your family, but you didn’t choose them nor did they choose you; they are a bunch of people that society tells you you need to love (and they need to love you back) because you share blood, which is ridiculous. Sharing blood doesn’t make people automatically compatible. Friendship, however, has no reason to exist; people don’t have to get along, they have no vested interest in each other, and yet they find themselves drawn to each other. That’s why that connection is so powerful and special. A person can live a happy life being single but surrounded by a circle of friends with whom they have a deep, truthful connection, but a person will not live a happy life being in a romantic relationship and having no friends to speak of.
Can someone help me understand why there is only one series of Truth Seekers when the TV industry keeps finding money for Ross Kemp and Danny Dyer. Any help appreciated.
Nick is such a good actor I would have never guessed he had no training. I love these two so much.
Simon, Edgar, and Nick are a force when they get together for sure - got to remember Jessica Hynes née Stevenson with Spaced for sure though!
Whole cast was pitch perfect.

In his defense Nick Frost is immeasurably loveable.

Great clip and it was obviously meant to be with Simon, Nick and Edgar, true and destined friendships can never be kept apart😊
Actually rewatching Spaced at the moment so timing...
I love the gun mime in series 2, especially when Mike says motherf***er 😂
It's about time for another Frost/Pegg movie collab, come on boys, time to start writing (I'd love to see a second Paul movie).
Hell yes. 💯
Indeed Simon, Nick & Edgar are excellent !
Beautiful Brotherhood.

He's not wrong, Shitquitos (as we call it) is explosive stuff...
On the subject of the Three Flavours Cornetto, there is/was a Lemon flavoured Cornetto...
Can't get over the fact you were in "Rave Macbeth" with Kirk Baltz

Looking forward too see what Edgar does with The Running Man
Congratulations to Michael Rosenbaum for coming out!

When will we get "Spaced the Movie"
Chiquito’s… in Streatham?! 😮 It was so bad 😂
I went there like 20 years ago and still have the squirts

At times in this clip, Simon looks to me a little like a young Gilbert Gottfried. I don't mean this in a mean way btw.
