- Hey guys! Back at it again with another boring VLOG! I broke my AC and I tried out this tip a Lexus Tech told me and I can't believe it worked! I also purchased a monthly subscription of the Lexus Enform Safety Connect + Remote Start just to try it out! Jason! With that A/C trick you just naturally saved my time, mind and tons of money. Worked on 2016 IS-350, where the passenger side started blowing hot air. For some reason the trick didn't work after the first try, though I did notice a difference in temp. So I repeated the procedure, and after the second time it worked! No hot air, as cold as ice!

the AC problem happens when you have something large on your Glove compartment, that will cause the cabin filter to not distribute the air flow correctly. In my case it was a large gym towel.
I didn’t know that! That’s crazy! We changed the cabin filter and it wasn’t that!
I have an RC, I would think they’re similar, crazy.
tanero23 what do you mean on your glove department I have a gs 350 you mean inside of it or are the rc departments a lot different?
That airflow issue happens in alot of vehicles and it’s often caused by a stuck or burnt out motor in the mixer box. This is usually located behind the dash aligned with the center console and depending on the vehicle it can be a pain to get too. A majority of the time it is basically just a flap that flips between the heater core box and the evaporator box. It used to be mechanically controlled by a horizontal lever hence the clunking youd hear in older cars when youd slide it from hot to cold and back. In newer cars it’s usually controlled via a stepper motor and the issue with stepper motors vs a standard motor is instead of reading a feed back loop of start motor object hits switch stop motor it receives a signal that says turn X number of steps if it over rotates, losses home, or the flap gets stuck which can happen from things like turning off the vehicle while the motor is running or similar actions then the motor will not know what to read if it has a stop at 50 steps clock wise but it zeroed at 25 steps counter clockwise then it will over rotate in one direction and under rotate in the other. It’s common for software engineers to code in a rehome at loss of power for this exact reason so the motor will use most likely some built in sensor to zero it and will be able to operate properly. That’s most likely why removing the negative terminal worked. When in doubt unplug it and plug it back in!

ever since watching this video i was so stoked about trying the remote feature but then found out my car was 2014 and it didn’t work because it was 15+. BUT as of today ! i found a guy in my area who actually made my 2014 is250 remote start from the factory key fob as well ! and im freaking loving it

I've had similar issues with my A/C as well. The first issue was when I switched the modes for the air flow such as from the feet to the head, it would stay stuck in flowing air in both feet and head when it was on head only mode which was annoying but it fixed it self after like 2 days. I haven't messed around with it since lol. Second issue was when I decided to blast heat one day and switched back to A/C, my driver side vent along with the left center vent, would blow warm air while the rest of the vents would blow cold air. I went to the dealer for a diagnostic which didn't happen because they said I needed a new battery to check the car's system. They were trying to sell me a battery for like $250 just to be able to run a diagnostic which is dumb. I took the car back and ran with the issue for a bit until one day, after I had washed my car and started it up, all of a sudden all my vents were blowing cold air. Now knowing the cost of fixing potential issues with the A/C unit can get very expensive, I've decided to keep it in the same mode and at 60 degrees lmao

What exhaust did you get? I got the Invidia Quad on my RC350 and love it . I get nothing but thumbs up from people who see it too as it really makes the rear of the car look much better and looks factory.

I’m thinking that when they redesign it IS in 2020/2021 the price of the older ones will drop significantly because of it being the “old” design instead of still being kinda pricey because it looks similar to the 2019. And especially of the go with the rumored twin turbo V6 it will have the “old” engine. But I’m okay with that. I always said my first 2 cars would be used...one okay car then a nice one I could drive for years and customize the IS). Then my third will be off of the showroom floor. 🤞

Yes, it does. It is a safety to prevent anyone from stealing your car. This function is purely to cool down or warm up your car if its too hot or too cold outside.

Hi bro i have lexus rc 350 with an invidia catback exhaust the problem is when i slow dawn and the car auto downshift it always go from the 5th gear to the third i don't know why and when it do that it give a massive pop very loud one i must downshift by the shifters when it's on the 6th gear to go to 4th to prevent it does ur car do the same ?
Hey man! Hmm, thats strange. Mine doesn't skip gears but I also ALWAYS drive it in manual mode. I would personally get it checked out or ask on the RC forums to be safe.
I have AC /heater blower problems as yours on my GX 460,since i bought it new in 2018.
I took it back to the dealer 1st time at 10,000 miles...they didn't fix it(or couldn't).I took it back yesterday at 20,000 mile,left it there...they working on it.Checking on You Tube today...see your video ,it is very helpful for my issue ,if i see it before,i might get it fix already.
another thing is : i asked the person taking care my vehicle about:can i start the motor with the remote?they told me : no,we can't .Because,Lexus don't have that feature.....?!?!?!...

You would need to contact lexus safety connect and follow their steps in order to show them proof that you are not the new registered owner of the vehicle VIN.

Dude! The same thing happened to me! You pretty much call lexus safety connect, explain your situation. They will tell you to fax or email some type of proof, such as proof of registration or purchase etc.
Once you do that, they’ll review it and then clear it within a day and then you can register your vehicle under your name for lexus enform!

It's called a Kin Tsuna Knot! The tsuna was used to adorn the danjiri "carts" at the entrance of the temple (what Danjirir's are made to appear like). The term is taken from the word Shimenawa (also used in Sumo to signify Yokozunas), which was a large rope hung above the entrance to shinto temples to signify a pure and sacred place (they were supposed to ward off evil spirits).

Yessir! You can call up Lexus enform or the dealership for more information! All you do is just pay a monthly fee of $16 and you can have it! Or you can pay for a full year which is a lot cheaper!
I had the same problem with the AC blowing warm in one vent and cold in another and luckily i had warranty still so i didnt bother trying to fix it. it was two of my Servo Actuator that went out and the total cost came out to be $1430 thank goodness for warranty but next time it goes out now i know what to try great video.

I’ll be making some videos of it once I finish it, I just finished the RGBW stars in the ceiling, all the way up to the front FULL coverage, now to install a $9,000+ sound system I already have the parts for, then new rims (19” Rohana RF2’s), then bag it, then exhaust, then eventually down the road supercharge it.
Right now I painted the inside of my headlights black, tinted the DRL, tinted the taillights and rear reflectors, had my roof and spoiler professionally painted high gloss black, and that’s all I’ve done so far.
I think you can open and close your windows too you have to program it either at the dealer or you can buy it on amazon and do it yourself with your laptop there is a TH-cam video

An exhaust is better for the 350 because the 350s get raspier than the 250s!

Had the same thing happens to mine . There is a motorized door that opens and closes to push hot air or cold air off the dual zones . Mine went bad and they had to replace it at 50k miles .

It wouldn’t throw it out the door but I’m sure any kind of aftermarket forced induction would make a car less reliable. But it would solely depend on install, maintenance and how you drive it

They’re connected to my cigarette lighter! Makes it more convenient for me than hard wiring them into the fuse box!

I read on one of your comments that you cancelled the Lexus Enform subscription. After you did that, does the remote start still work on your remote?
It didn’t work anymore.. some people got lucky and it still worked for them. I just recently subscribed again last month and it’s honestly great having it again!

With the resonator deleted, so you have any issues passing the smog test ?
I haven't gotten a smog test yet but I have full straight pipe on my bmw E90 and even deleted the cats and passed. I think a simple resonator delete should be fine.

I live in a complex so its harder to keep clean all the time but what do you prefer
I just wash it once a week! It’s hard for me to keep clean too because I keep it outside! I suggest waxing it as often as you can and doing a clay bar/polish once every two-three months!!!
