Nice job! But instead of 3 it must be the 4 are DJ's Kool Herc, Grandmaster Flash, Afrika Bambaataa & Disco King Mario on my opinion.

Okay, good call and Disco King Mario definitely seemed to be lost along the way so thanks for sharing. Growing up in NJ, I really didn’t hear as much about him and we definitely should recognize especially after finding this piece here. Great knowledge dip and share of this part of history that needs to be told as well! 👊🏾👍🏾

@@RodJReactsThank you so much for your reply and your reaction. I think with all respect that Kool Herc didn't start what later was called Hip Hop. Kool Herc continue in a different way by used only the breaks from the records. Because Kool Herc notice that the audience loved the breaks of that records that he was played. He got eyes on the records what the radio didn't played, less famous records who got the break in it. The records Bongo Rock and Apache by the Incredible Bongo Band made Kool Herc more famous (thanks to Timmy Tee who found the record). Like Pete DJ Jones helped Grandmaster Flash to perfect his mixer. That was Disco King Mario to Kool Herc, he give him the tools. Without the tools there was no Kool Herc. Excuus me if I being wrong. Even Afrika Bambaataa must be very thankful to Disco King Mario for save him to loan his equipment to Bam after Bam losing the battle, because maybe if he didn't, maybe Bam would not continue. For me is Disco King Mario is the pioneer/originator of Jams. Kool Herc founder of Break Beats. Afrika Bambaataa is the father of records. Grandmaster Flash is the founder of cutting. Grand Wizard Theodore is the founder of scratching. Coke La Rock created MC. Cowboy, Kid Creole and Melle Mel are the founders of MC.
I think Kool Herc was at the right time at that moment, with the audience who became later famous DJ's and MC's.
P.S. The first party Kool Herc give was al disco records at that time. So he have heard them by others played and used this on that night at 1520 Sedgwick Avenue. Everybody was at that time played James Brown's Give It Up Or Turnin It Loose... Clap your hands and stomp your feet... Clyde!
Hip Hop to me is all about "Peace Unity Love and Having Fun", that Disco King Mario starts on my opinion.
The Bronx NYC is the foundation of Hip Hop.
The community of the Bronx NYC created Hip Hop.

All great points and I think the most powerful thing pointed out also goes back to the link that I shared regarding Disco King Mario. His story not being told as much is a travesty in the history lost by it being the case. You hit on many of the ways he impacted things and a biography piece on him would be powerful and I'm sure so enlightening for many.
In the world of Hip Hop, Herc, Bam, and Flash are seen as the pioneers by many, but your insight shows how this could be more the result of history untold. I appreciate the sharing of the details and insight for sure! Feel free to keep the comments coming! ☮️
