  • My first visit to Beecraigs Country Park was brilliant! I really enjoyed playing about in the Black Drop Zone and loved my first shot in a MTB skills area- great fun. Totally recommended. The red loops were pretty good too, quite rooty in parts and a good mix of peddley bits and down hill fun.

Hey man love the videos, this is my local area and due to lockdown I decided to buy a cheap mountain bike and loving it so far, need to get my fitness up because the red enduro is just a bit too long for my legs, that was also where my first crash was 😂 the drop you done into the big valley looks nothing like that in real life, I have stood at the top every time I have been there and chickened our rolling into it but after watching this vid think I’m gonna full send it tomorrow, keep up the good content

COLVIE thanks mate.😁. I found the red enduro was pretty energy sapping too, but I liked it. Yeah GoPro makes everything look tame compared to real life. The drop into the gully felt quite smooth when I did it, the slope catches you quite well. You get a lot of speed from it. It was great fun, give it a go mate and let me know how you got on. 🤙🤙🤙😁. I think the skills area at Beecraigs is brilliant, I think it’s the best one I’ve been to. Safe shredding mate! 🤙🤙🤙😁

This is my local too and only option for me (49) on my ebike and my son who is 15 but it's so muddy and rooty just now - full body workout for sure! Watched a guy drop that one at 9:50 about 3 times today like it was nothing - it's worse to see it in real life - the camera never conveys the height and angle of this stuff!
Great vid showing off all of Beecraigs - really enjoying your content

Thanks mate.😁 Great to hear you and your son go shredding together👌🤙😁 Last time I was there is was muddy and slippy too but great fun. Yeah, the GoPro definitely flattens things out and makes them seem a lot smaller than they are when you’re standing in front of them.😃 You are fortunate to have such a great place as your local. I love the skills park it is excellent. Happy shredding mate.🤙🤙🤙😁

    Awesome dude👌
Beecraigs drops never look bad on camera. Bigger than they look!!...but all achievable (he says after spending 25mins contemplating each one...everytime 😂)
    Stay safe 👍

Duncan Wilson thanks mate, yeah they were great fun. I hope to get back to Beecraigs when all this covid 19 craziness is over...where do you ride?😁

@@muddymongoosemtb9873 Been twice so still lots more to explore...and fall over 😂 A wee gem of a place with a bit of everything. The local lads totally tear it up, off the scale stuff 👍
Give Carron Valley a try. Quite a bit of pain for not a lot of gain....but still really fun 😬 and fills a couple of hours!
Recommend going back up after each of the 3 trails i.e. doing each trail twice in a row (save the legs 🦵 and energy 😤!)

Duncan Wilson Cheers, Carron Valley is definitely on my to do list as quite a few people have recommended it to me now. I’ve watched videos of the trails and they look nice and flowing. I’ll try to do each one twice if my fitness holds out!😂😂😂🤙👍😁

Aw man I should have shown you round Beecraigs proper not the bomb hole area you first went to or the crap skills park. You have missed so much and there has been more stuff added since. There is a climb and descent up Witchcraig and Cockleroy and the full Red perimeter trail

Hi mate, is the Cockleroy trail good? I've done the red perimeter trail before its good fun. I actually really like the skills park. Is Beecraigs your local?

@@muddymongoosemtb9873 Yep my local for 30 + years. The gate at the bottom of Cockleroy hearalds the start of the tricky rooty single-track you just hang a right after coming off Cockleroy at the gate. I worked on the trailbuilding up there so we put in the Black and Red sections. The descents off Witchcraig are nice and steep particularly the one that goes straight down to the Korean war memorial.
