Restoring a Vintage Yellowed IBM Keyboard - Yellowed Plastic Retrobright

In this video, I will restore an Arabic vintage keyboard IBM keyboard. The plastic has yellowed and is quite dirty. I will demonstrate how I retrobright the plastic to restore its original color. It was a joy to give this keyboard a second life. This particular model is one of IBM's most iconic and nostalgic keyboards. The restoration process took me one week. This video demonstrates how to remove scratches from plastic and restore a scratched IBM keyboard to its original surface.
It guides you on rejuvenating a yellowed keyboard to make it look nearly new.
To correct discoloration, coat the plastic with hydrogen peroxide, which is effective for completely yellowed plastics rather than just in spots. Use a plastic bag filled with enough hydrogen peroxide to submerge the plastic piece. Place the plastic into the bag, then expose it to direct sunlight. After 3-4 hours, rinse it with clean water. Hydrogen peroxide is available at drugstores or large retailers.

If you're working with a plastic device, remove all non-plastic components before immersion in hydrogen peroxide.
An old toothbrush can be used to apply hydrogen peroxide to the plastic if needed.
Retrobright is a method that uses hydrogen peroxide to eliminate yellowing from ABS plastics.

PS/2 and USB are completely different protocols. Changing the connector will ONLY result in a working keyboard if the chip inside it happens to support both. If in doubt, it is much safer and easier to use a readily available adaptor.
