@@djkarlthomas I tried that too!! 😩 I tried MS Dos (fat 32), and i knew exfat wouldn’t work but I gave that a try too, I even tried different USBs too, and I still can’t get it to work
Hi, I have a question not sure if you can help, I clicked on sync manager and for some reason it doesn’t pick music or playlists from my iTunes it’s just blank ?
Hello 👋 thanks for your videos. I'm planning on becoming a mobile DJ where I live in London. I want to buy Beatsauce, do you down if I can directly download the tracks to my laptop? I was planning on making a little mini mix on Ableton with the tracks I'll buy from there. Thanks for your help
Beatsource is a streaming platform. If you want to directly download music you will need to subscribe to a record pool such as DJ City or BPM supreme or buy individual tracks directly from a download site such as Beatport/ iTunes. Thank you for watching!
@@djkarlthomas What DJ pool do you suggest for a mobile DJ's? Would the ones you mentioned be a good idea? I want very commercial house and old school house, pop, and a little bit of older stuff for the older people. Thanks for your help ☺️
I have a lot of record pool reviews on this channel so I would suggest checking those out and also this video here 🙂. th-cam.com/video/lITnSGmAlak/w-d-xo.html
Hi mate this is perfect, I’ve set it up before and got it working on CDJs. The only confusion I have is when I’ve bought more songs and neeed to add them to the USB. Do I just follow these steps even though I’m only adding 5/6 songs within a folder that’s already on the USB? Sorry if I’ve worded that poorly but I can’t find any info on it. I always take two+ USBs and reformat one every time to ensure the new tracks have been put on but it takes the piss. I’m sure there’s got to be an easier way 🤣
Yes so pop your new songs into the playlist on rekordbox and then just re-sync those playlists in the programme and it will move the new tracks onto the USB. No need to reformat everytime
It can take sometime for all the files to transfer- keep an eye on the progress bar at the bottom of the screen. Also ensure your USB is formatted in the right way.
Thanks but I don’t use iTunes. Sorry didn’t phrase my question very well! My files are stored in one drive but when it comes to syncing it only shoes iTunes?
@@ryanharris8039 Yes it seems to be the only music management software where you can sync specific playlists however nowadays I don't really use iTunes so when I download music I just drag and drop the files straight into rekordbox and then into my playlists
Generally no…I know people that will stick a full on hardrive into cdjs, but just be aware that for the biggest USBs with lots of tracks there will be an impact on load times. I would recommend to stick to 128gb and below.
Are you using a streaming service? If so then the tracks are not yours to export unfortunately. The only tracks you can export are physical downloads which you have purchased via a record pool subscription or something like beatport.
Came back to this vid as I was wondering how to export playlists 🙌🏼 This has helped massively so thank you mate! My only question is this - I can’t view the playlist folder on the usb plugged into my laptop, or doesn’t that matter as the decks will automatically recognise the playlist when you insert it? Cheers man, getting there I think with this 😆 I also won’t know if it has worked until I manage to plug my usb into the rx3 😬 I always trust you of course though 🙌🏼🔥
Once exported to it, down the left hand menu/ playlist list of rekordbox you should see your usb and be able to drop down to see the playlists which it contains.
5th video I've watched on this. Here's the deal: I'm using Rekordbox on a Pioner DDJ800. I'm i Windows 10. I have a Sandisk Extreme Pro 128gb USB drive that I've formatted to FAT32. I trie to use the synch manager to export all my playlists to the Sandisk drive. 99% of my songs are from Soundcloud, which I've downloaded for offline use through Rekordbox. None of these Soundcloud tracks were exported. Can I even export these? If so, what am I not doing correctly? Dont want to get way lost down the rabbit hole on this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. BTW - does anyone actually know where tracks go when they're downloaded for offlie use through Rekordbox? Thanks.
Finally straight to the point all the other videos explaining this be over 10 min waisting my time lol
Hopefully it was useful!
You are amazing. Just what I needed. Thanks.
So happy it was useful for you!!
Very helpful video Karl !
Thank you mate
Love it! Very close to that 2K mark 👀👏🏼💯
Thank you mate!
Karl, cheers for that. What is the cue grid option for please?
I’m not sure I follow? I don’t believe I mentioned a cue grid option?
Can I do the same thing with my playlists on soundcloud?
I tried all of this and I still can’t get my playlist to show up or my waveforms to show up 😭
Is your USB formatted to fat 32?

So, no more need to convert Apple/iTunes M4p to Mp3 before syncing iTunes to recordbox ?

I have just bought a USB as my old one has run out of space, would you know how to transfer everything from my old usb onto the new one?
You’ll have to sync the playlists with the new usb in rekordbox and then format the old usb
Hi I followed the instructions and I still dont see the files on my flash drive. Help
It can take sometime for all the files to transfer- keep an eye on the progress bar at the bottom of the screen. Also ensure your USB is formatted in the right way.
I am afraid you did not mention exporting the preferencies you want in your CDJ.
when i click the arrow to send them to the usb, nothing happens, even though boxes are checked
It can take a while depending on how many tracks you are exporting- you should see a progress bar in the bottom left corner.
Hi. What if you are not using itunes? Can you import from One Drive?
You can bring tunes into rekordbox from anywhere- just drag and drop
Thanks but I don’t use iTunes. Sorry didn’t phrase my question very well! My files are stored in one drive but when it comes to syncing it only shoes iTunes?

For some reason my sync is taking hours!!! I dont know why it stops at 84% or 44% Ugh i dont know whats going on
It can take a while if you are syncing large amounts of tracks/playlists
Mine doesn't have a fat32 option
Either the company that made your usb doesnt support, or either you key is like 64GB ou 128GB, which wont let you format it to Fat32
