    I love hedgehog. It was the first thing I ever learned to cook. It was at the school I was only at until grade 3 so I was no older than 8, and I remember being fascinated that you could actually make it yourself and it didn’t only come in a packet or from a shop lol. Then I went home and watched my mother open packets for another decade 😂😂😂

    Thank you for this delicious recipe! A few months ago, I reminisced about enjoying hedgehog slice as a young school kid, so I did some searching and found your recipe to be the most well thought out. Since finding this video, this has become my partner and my favourite go-to dessert. I also enjoy the ratio of dark to milk chocolate that you suggest. Thank you so much, Sue!

    Thanks for the great recipe - turned out perfectly. Crushing the biscuits was a great hint & the texture was perfect with the chunks from the other biscuits.

    Thanks for the brilliant recipe Sue! May I ask what Aussie brand chocolates (or those that can be found in Aus) you used in this recipe?

      +Monkey D. Luffy oh okay I haven’t lived in Australia for over 10 years. For milk chocolate probably Cadbury or dark Lindt or similar. Depends on your taste buds. I used to buy a Lindt baking chocolate but not sure it’s still sold. Or you could use a combination of both for a less intense flavour. I hope that helps!!

      Not sure if you'll see this, but I have used both Cadbury and Nestle "Melts" from Coles/Woolies. I think Cadbury is slightly better, but I'm not certain. I'm sure Lindt would be amazing, I haven't seen it around though.

    It should be called echidna, or better yet spiny anteater.

    Thank you for recipe , can you use anything else instead of coconut?

    • @SueMareeP
      @SueMareeP  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You probably could I haven’t tried it without. It will make the texture softer and fudge like. Maybe add some extra nuts for bulk.

    Im gonna try this. I assume its called hedgehog slice because hedgehogs are brown in colour with white/beige spots mixed in... just like the slice.

    • @SueMareeP
      @SueMareeP  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      +GuyWithThePizza ha maybe. That’s a very good question. I don’t really know but a like your explanation. Enjoy the slice.

    Just one question. If you have a nut allergy, is there anything you can recommend to replace the nuts? Thank you.

      +Timothy Kwoh i would add a little more coconut or a few extra biscuits and it will still taste great.
