I'm reading the John Mitchell book at the moment. He only lost 4 out of 28 tests (and one draw). He sure did get results, and he wasn't afraid to make tough personnel changes. He still started Cullen for 6 tests in 2002. A lot of people don't realise this. Mitchell says Cullen's knee was just never the same after the surgery in 2001. Mitchell's son was very upset with him when he wouldn't select Cullen anymore.
@@sleek822 yup, Mils was a more complete fullback, McCaw was already world-class, Spencer with all his faults was a weapon on attack, he had the balls to scratch players regardless off past deeds, something Hart and Smith didn't do. Just a shame he pissed off too may a long the way.
