    This is my favorite food to eat. Any time we travel to Nigeria, I always call my mother ahead of time to prepare banga soup with some fresh catfish and starch. I don't miss it on arrival. I love it.

    The one reason why i love buying in the market they always put extra small for you i was observing how they do thee same for you and they also can negotiate prices. God bless the market business personal. I did not know this banga soup has its own spices. I am learning a lot of Nigerian recipe, how i wish Botswana had all this ingredients i will be trying this banga soup it looks so yummy. I like the colour of your starch

    I have made this soup a few times but your is more yummy and authentic and I have never eaten starch but may try to make it sometime too.     I saw banga and I clicked so fast. Thank you so much for teaching me how. I am Hausa and my mom and I would visit her friend's house and they would always make this for us. I miss it! Thank you for taking us shopping with you as well. I have to book a flight home as soon as this corona mess is over with.

    In Ghana we call it abenkwan (abe) is palmnut and (nkwan) is soup making abenkwan.
    This came out really nice too quite similar to ours

    Yum! Yum! That Banga soup is so yummy, non stick pot is best for preparing swallow, it doesn't stick.

    If you want banga to thicken, don't cover your pot of banga while cooking and after cooking until it cools down..

      It's the name that is similar, has nothing to do with clothing starch , there many starchy foods in Nigeria rice is starchy, Amala is starchy, apu is starchy, tuwo is starchy (i.e foods high in complex sugars = starch) all these starchy foods when mixed with additional chemicals can be use as clothing starch.

      Starch in this context is gotten from cassava. It is a byproduct of the garri making process.

    Nice...but my main concern is the crayfish seller...see the way she was pressing it,I thought is Worth 1k,as I heard 500,na so I open mouth...wen foodstuffs was a bit affordable... Nigeria😢😢

    Yummy that's how we do it in Ghana 🇬🇭 but now I use the paste because no time then we eat it with fufu which is pounded cassava and plantain mixed together I love going local shopping with you Mama Tiara 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
