G’day Shawn thanks for watching. I had the ING Direct savings account ages ago. I can’t legally recommend any account, but from a purely factual basis they have one of the higher interest rates available currently compared to most. Depends on how much you want to put in, and how much BS you want to put up with in terms of rules/conditions
Another thing with ING is no atm fees no matter which one you use, even international. I swapped from ANZ to ING about 2 years ago and have never looked back. Scott Pape from The BareFoot Investor also recommends ING. The only downside is that it is an online bank only, so no branches to visit if you have a problem.
@BB49 It takes care of itself and no hoops to jump through. Look at your daily transactions, most people would make more than 5 in a day let alone a month.
@BB49 The ongoing rate of 4% is reasonably comparable to the others mentioned here. For mine the advantage is there are no criteria to be met. Like 5 transactions and minimum deposit. And all at call. Better than most term deposits. For my needs it is the best I can find.
@BB49 I use ING and meet there "minor hoops". They only give the 5.25% on the first 100k. After that it is 0.55% which is pathetic. And I am not going to jump those "minor hoops" on a second account. One is enough. So as I said for me 4% ongoing with zero conditions is worthy of mention in any list.

Hi Ray Heritage Bank Online Saver now 4.50% for first 4 months for new customers, after 4 months it reverts to base rate of 3.05%. Only condition is requiring a linked transaction account.
They have a 3.25% rate right now, so not the highest. You have to do 4 transactions and it applies to balances up to 250k. Definitely worth comparing your options!
Thanks Ray , is ANZ CBA good ?
UBank definitely has the best value as the rate is among the highest with the least conditions to earn the bonus interest
Yep agree!
why have you not mentioned MySaving Direct at 4.35%, please advise?
G’day Bob, this specific video covers Australian savings accounts - it looks like that one is US based? Hope that helps. Sounds like a decent rate
Nice list. I couldnt get which account you mentioned you had ? It sounded like offshore but I just wanted to know if you could recommend that ?

What about Macquarie bank offering 4.5%
Yep that’s a decent rate at this point in time - note they are only that high for 4 months and up to $250k.

@BB49 Well that is good news. What are the other banks offering more than 4% at call with no conditions? I will jump on.
@BB49 OK I will stay with Macquarie till something that suits me better comes along.
