Boxes while going to school. Cooks his family dinner even tho he can't eat any of it. Surprises his mom with him getting accepted to college. He's like the perfect kid.

I’m impressed, not many fighters think about a plan B, when you get up there and I know you will, make sure you come to the east side to train I’m talking the NY, Illidelphia, Maryland aka Murdaland and New Jerusalem aka New Jersey your right about Cali but fighting on the East coast is gritty and super tough, I know from experience I say every fighter should come train at least once in the Tri -state area, let me shout the Mid - west too they produce a certain breed of fighter as well, plus it will add to your knowledge as a fighter, but I wish you well you’ve got a good head on your shoulders.

i 100% agree. Ive trained in brooklyn and chicago and the feeling of going to a different gym to spar is the same feeling before fights.

I'm a professional mma fighter out of jersey city. 22 years of age, born and raised, it's hard out here. I remember trying out different gym before I found the right one it. The tri state area is hostile, every is out to prove that they fuck someone up. Who's tougher, who's badder.

cause it's a distraction from the main objective, if Floyd was attending school while boxing i don't think he would have achieved what he did in the sport

@@SugarRayValentine floyds one of a kind. "Be like floyd" isn't a realistic life plan and we've seen many try and fail. Most boxers retire mid 30s, what about after that? What if they get injured or don't want to risk brain injury? And also, many people don't want to spend the rest of their days as a sports analyst or coach. He's young and has the energy and so far isn't stepping up to higher competition. Nows the time, if any to get his degree.
