    Hi, I'm just saying I love your videos. I am preparing for my next trip to Spain by the end of the year with your videos. I love the way you talk about the food with information and details. I've seen other videos, but you speak in a way that is more trustworthy, clearer, and professional. I love that you are a Kiwi speaking such good Spanish. I visited NZ and loved it. keep doing this!! I'm listening!! Great Job!

Did not stop but took a picture with f Posada de La Villa and La Perejila! You were spot on! The area was teaming with people and a tapas jubilee.:) amazing! Thank you!

    • @AlejandroPRGH
      @AlejandroPRGH 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sí, yo recuerdo haber visto algunas de las antiguas posadas cuando todavía funcionaban, quizá fue en los años 70. Aunque entonces eran simples alojamientos baratos con un aspecto muy antiguo pero seguramente ya no aceptaban animales.

(But we did wonder why there was a tour group looking at it one morning...) We stumbled into Casa Lucas just before closing one night. No crowds! Amazing tostas. You were right: we couldn't get into Casa Lucas! That's the only one we didn't try. Taberna Tempranillo was awesome - we (me and my 3 buddies) had a great Ribera Del Duero (well, several bottles) and lots of tapas. Man, did we have great vermut and a superb time. For me, the old style places were the best - I just loved it. I'm planning on taking my wife over the next few months.

    Thank you for this video, it is a great help for tourists. Personally our top 2 favorites in Cava Baja are Tempranillo and Casa Lucas. We tried the oxtail at Casa Lucas and was absolutely delicious. The dish shown in this video of Tempranilllo, is not duck thighs, is actually quail breast. We explained to Oscar ( I speak Spanish) that we wanted to try the "duck thighs dish" shown in this video and he explained that the dish is actually quail breast. Anyway, the dish is amazing as stated in this video and a must try. Our least favorite was Los Huevos de Lucio. This place has really gone south. The "huevos rotos" were overcooked and not good. Perejilla es a B minus.

    La Posada del Dragón was delicious and the tomato salad was the best! The waiter also told us, in addition to the ancient walls underneath, that this place used to make soap as well and they have a great dessert as a tribute to it (like a little soap bar made of white chocolate). Also, in the restroom is one of the original granite/marble tubs used way-back-when.

    We were on this street today and didn't have your video on us and ended up just guessing. I'm now showing the video to my husband and we are returning and hitting up the bars you mentioned!

      I hope it went ok! Great street, but so much choice! I noticed your posts on SpainGuru --- welcome to Madrid! I'm designing an online course to help people move to Spain, and your questions and comments were super helpful!!

      @@spainrevealed We ended up eating at La Potente because of the view from the terrace. I'm sure that's a super touristy place, but the food was good and relatively inexpensive compared to American prices. We paid 3.50 for a copa de Rivera, 5Euros for jamon de pato, and 4.50 for tortilla espanola. So 14 euros total. Your online course is going to help so many people who want to move to Spain! Your videos already make them want to buy a one way ticket!

      @@spainrevealed oh and CityLifeMadrid has good moving guides geared toward college students. The facebook groups : Spain Immigration and Residency Groups (by SpainGuru) and Tapas Forever are just 2 digital groups that will give you a clear idea of what foreigners want to know - especially the Spain Immigration & Residency group. There are other groups too I can recommend.

    Hi James,
    Been watching and taking notes from all your Madrid and Barcelona vids.
    Would you please suggest your TOP 3 Bars/Taverns for a first time visitor who grow up in Asia with spanish influenced food and staying now in the Middle East.
    Kindly advise so I can share these to my colleagues and friends back home and in the office. ¡Gracias!

    I really enjoy watching your video’s 😊 you say it so clear where you got to be to get the best Spanish food there is, have you bin to Barco de Avila for the famous Judias from there? They are awesome. I like to stick to the adagium of my father, when ever you are in a foreign country always eat where the local people eat, in those restaurants in some street where no tourist comes, keep em coming 😋
