Media as the 4th pillar of democracy should play the role of giving voice to the people and seek accountability of the executive. However, credibility of media has been called into question owing to its lopsided attitude and political opportunism. Although I have no intention to blame our friends in media, I must say with all honesty, my conscience holds much higher position in my warrant than the information or perhaps, misinformation, that comes my way through media. This apart, Mr. Sainath was elaborate and precise. His experience is unparalleled. The interview was an ode to journalism. Enlightening 22 minutes of perspectives and wisdom.

A pleasure, as always. But, dear Sainath, you escaped the worst of Emergency 1.0 but be wary during the v2.0 :) Same goes for Paranjoy who might be more at risk because of certain "Top Farmers of India" (Sainath's name for that fat media tycoon and other things). Both of you have been thorns in the side of the bosses of India. This was a great talk. Stay safe. Nothing shocks us anymore. Gautam Naulakha! What next? DP Tripathi plus Probir, this time?

Now a days most Indian media became ruling party dallals , selling their products , rather public eye to see through government working , which is their main profession .

People fail to realise that in today's time people have to snatch their rights, even the right to live from the political class. Politicians are what is standing between the prosperity and the people (weak and marginalised). Now a days politicians are stooges of few corporates and these corporates are earning wealth at the expense of poor and marginalised. For better understanding one can read Noam Chomski's propaganda theory on this media and politics matter. Link is given below for the summary

Sir. I don't agree on the statement that interNet does not have capability to reach people. I understand protest is required, but we should think are we protesting for the right thing. Irrespective of whatever the definition of Professional Journalism, A professional Journalists is a person who has courage to speak and publish the truth even when his life and family at stake

For the third time, modi may be coming back yo power. Is it because the activists in the guise of journalists lost out once again or together , the people of this country knew who is better for this country to lead !!

why do these intellectuals, with all due respect and love, never get down to particulars and let the layman have an idea of how things play out in reality instead of talking exclusively in abstract?
for example, instead of just stating that corporates control the social media, illustrate it with some very relatable examples. tell us how exactly, through what means and procedures our voices get muffled (if they do at all). Because from the frame of reference of a layman, he can post almost everything he wishes and so seems to be true for his favorite public figures. Tell us where is the problem. It might be very obvious to you but we aren't intellectuals, least journalists, for us to understand anything instantly.

Dear Muslims, KNOW the DIFFERENCE between RELIGIOUS DAWAH and the RELIGIOUS DIALOGUE (PRESENTATION). "The dawah" is inviting non-Muslims to Islam. And "the dialogue" is (not explicitly asking a non-Muslim to accept Islam) to present Islam with the purpose to create better understanding, to remove unfounded fears in the hearts of non-Muslims against the Muslims and to create trust. The interfaith dialogue is the safest and very easy way. It doesn't create any suspicion, and most of the time the non-Muslims welcome it. The Quran also says that the duty of the Muslims is to present the Message; it is up to the non-Muslim whether to accept it or ignore it. The ISSUES concerning the dialogue are 1: A Muslim can present Islam's message to a non-Muslim individual or to a group. 2: At the time of presentation make it clear that you are presenting Islam AS IT IS, and as the mainstream Sunni Muslims believe. Tell him that, the non-Muslim may find the features of Islam in contrast to Hinduism, but the purpose of the presentation is to create tolerance and appreciation for the differences, and to achieve unity in diversity. The non-Muslim is sure to gain knowledge of Islam which he will find very interesting & rewarding. 3: The non-Muslim is sure to raise this objection: "why the Islamic books & the Quran say that Islam is the only right religion and that Allah will accept only this religion, and no other faith?" To this, answer in this way: "it is the right of every religion to claim that it only is the Truth, all else is deviation; for example, the Christianity says that only the Christians will go to Paradise, and no one else; even though we Muslims don't believe this claim, but we don't have objection to it. Similarly, Hinduism says that it is the most ancient religion, so it is the BEST. We Muslims & the non-Muslims shouldn't have any objection to such claims, but what we can and should do is to do some authentic and critical research into such claims to arrive at at the Truth. Since God is the All-Knowing and the All-Wise, and since He taught mankind the skill of communication, it can be inferred on this basis that the Merciful God must have revealed His Message to the mankind. To make a man's searh to the Truth easy and aaccessible He must have revealed the Message to ANY ONE of the Major World Religions only, and not in any one of the tribal or primitive faiths. I assure the Muslims if they act on my advice, the non-Muslims themselves will come to protect them against the Brahmanic terrorists. This is based on the article by Comrade Muhammad.
