Good video, no long boring parts. Very pleasing to watch.

Brand new subscriber. Been following you at Kaplan Cycles. I'm so glad that Ken was able to meet you, purchase motorcycles from you and then make an offer that you couldn't refuse to leave the IT business and build bikes. I hope it's working out for you exactly as you hoped it would. The money doesn't mean anything if you're not happy so hopefully you are very happy doing this. Us old guys are rooting for you buddy… Keep up the good work. Like I said, brand new subscriber, liker and comment. All the things that Mr./Mrs. Algorithm love...... whoever the freak "they" are… 😆🤣😆🤣🇺🇸🦅

I have built a KTM 690 2019 turbo myself which is now ready for mapping. I am aiming for around 12 psi boost pressure. I am using a power commander plus autotune and have a pod 300 for logging. I am running with original compression.

This is gonna be a great build. Did you ever get the b1200 on the dyno?

Not yet! The bike runs beautifully just have to throw it on one day and see what it does.

Curious why you want to increase valve spring pressure? These motors already pull the valve seats into the head because they have so much spring pressure

Strictly to prevent valve float at high rpm's. Boost pressure in the intake will cause valves to want to stay open/float. A general rule of thumb is for every pound of boost you want to increase spring pressure by a pound as well. Though that is overkill, you likely only need 1lb extra sping pressure for every 5lbs of boost. The exhaust valve are the ones usually sinking into the head due to the heat.

@@Realboostedbikes ah thank u for the info. never thought of pressure on the back of the valve trying to hold it open. Definitely keen to follow the progress.

Wait. You "went to school for these" and you didn't know that they are a single piston ring?
