Ah, Street Wars! Pumped many hours into it when I was a kid - it was so strange compared to the other- more traditional RTS games I played alongside it. Warcraft 2, Age of Empires 2, Red Alert, but the game has endless charm and a style I’ve not seen since! I can’t put my finger on exactly what it is, but this era of early 3D games, or rather, that inbetween era that was a mish mash of 2D sprites, simple 3D models and pre-rendered graphics had an aesthetic and vibe that I love!
I remember this game came included with a game package when my family bought a pc from circut city. I played the absolute fuck outa this game. Then maybe like 10 years later i bought another copy of the game and once again played the absolute shit outa it.
Guys is this the game that in abandoned building certain characters called Mr Cockroach would settle in? I played few mafia themed strategy games together 20-25 years ago, this was among them, and I can't remember which was that with Mr Cockroach NPCs (Mr Cockroach was a fine gentleman that would settle in empty/abandoned buildings
Idk the roach's name but yes! If you drop off dead bodies at businesses, eventually they will become infested and - amongst other signs of infestation - you will see a roach walking about the property! I forget if you can select the roach and control it... I think you can?
@@FirstnameLastname-py3bc Yup. Keep an eye out for infested buildings (roach icon) and sometimes you will see a roach character walking around the infested grounds. Not sure about its name tho lol =)
@@FirstnameLastname-py3bcI have it somwhere but its not installed. I just checked my whole PC! I recommend getting a free VPN and downloading it off a "play retro games" type of site. I did that even tho I own the CD-ROM because my CD reader doesn't work anymore =)
Each level of housing has two types (e.g. Level 1 are Soup Kitchen and Drinking Den). You need to build both types of houses to unlock the next level. If you can't build Level 4's, then make sure to build both Level 3's (Coffin Maker and Flop House). I often skip the Coffin Maker, so that's usually what I need to build. If that doesn't work, try upgrading both the Coffin Maker and Flop House (to Undertaker and Boarding House, respectively) and see if that unlocks Level 4. Afterwards, do the same procedure with Level 4's to unlock the Level 5's.
@nowhiringpaladins9258 i already did the 2 buildings per level. No change. Also, after watching the video, it shows the buildings already available for construction at the beginning of dead dog ditch
@@jeremiasgarganera8962 I didn't watch all the videos, so maybe he already built/upgraded everything beforehand. My only other advice is to retrace your steps and build/upgrade each available house again, especially from Level 2 on up. I replayed the game from Rangoon Rumpus thru Capitol City this past week and wasn't able to access Saloons in DDD, so I ended up rebuilding my Level 3's and 4's, which was a pain, but apparently that did the trick.
I think they can expand your territory. The place where you place m starts glowing with the player colour. Edit: Looked it up, gangsters on patrol will react whenever enemies enter zones marked with your barrels.
In case someone has problem like AI being too dumb to fix their building (like me), you can build a repair house with gadget factory in their building, so it auto repair itself without fixer. Using opponent's building status as losing condition is super annoying, I wonder who came up with this bright idea. Doesn't work on 1st and 2nd campaign since it restricts things you can make.
