It is a joy to someone with such complete mastery of such a complex topic. I find myself now needing to squeeze the chromatic aberration out of a system and this greatly helped my understanding of how to do it.

Thanks for this series! The info is too advance for me at this time, my brain melted.

peterwXXX How can help clarify this topic? I am passionate about this and I want to ensure that I am speaking and presenting the content very clearly. Thanks!

The first order equations for solving for radii need to be clarified. (Thanks to my coworkers questions showing where the video was not clear).
The equations solving for radii assume that the crown and the flint are airspaced NOT bonded together. It also assumes zero thicknesses for crown and flint and the distance between lenses.... At points in this video the spacings were set to some realistic amount... only to have clarity in the lens when it was drawn.

Thank you very much for your tutorials. I am unable to get the same answer for the r2( radius of curvature -flint glass). I have got 97.78mm. Am I missing something?

How to decide what diameter to take for each lens in complex optical system?

Are there any good alternative to Zemax, that cost less?

    thanks for this tutorials.
I want to design a chirped lens array( a microlenses array with different aperture). How Can I design it by Zemax?
    Thanks you in advance.

    Which telescope is better?
    An achromat or another kind?

Hello professor, excuse me, maybe you could help me with a tutorial or a small guide on how to simulate a UV LED? I thank you very much in advance.

I have difficulty knowing when I have reached the best design for a given set of specifications. And when I should add lenses, or which surface(s) to make aspheric. Any advice that you can offer?

Thineshwaran, great questions! I assume when you say specifications you mean untoleranced nominal specifications. For me "good enough" specifications would be manufacturing yield. If the yield is low, then I have sensitive optical elements that need to be split. Hopefully, I'll post videos on this subject.
The asphere question is another great question. Conventional wisdom states an asphere new the stop and another near the intermediate image. But these locations are usually not available for the lens designer. I've written a few articles on this subject: where to place in a double gauss and how to design with aspheres. I look forward to posting videos on this subject as well, but I'm time constrained!
Thanks for the questions as they motivate me to keep making videos!!!
