Join us as we lead the formidable faction of Kush on Legendary difficulty, striving for the challenging 'This Is Total War' achievement, where we take on the world in a constant state of war. Kush has special taxation buildings. The grey one, with the scroll, will boost really good the gold settlement, and also provide other benefits like public order or food.
Good tip, that taxation building looks like a must have in money provinces!

I have been watching legendary gameplays long time, english and spanish. This vídeos are de best by far: everything thing he decided make sense, you can know his chain of thoughts easily and the video edition cut the most boring and annoying parts. I hope you keep making content with other faction and Total War games.

How do you keep going expanding so quick, dang its impressive, I always struggle early on playing cat and mouse with settlements
I only take what I can keep and try to anticipate how the next couple of turns might play out. Utilising all stances (fortify, double time and ambush) is also very important
To expand a little bit. Early game is all about grabbing some land before the enemy gets organised. Attacking early is crucial as on legendary difficulty AI recruits 2 more units per turn.
So, if you attack on turn 2, you got +4 units recruited while they got nothing yet. But attacking on turn 3 is already not as good as you got +8 units (4 on T2 & 4 on T3) but they got +6 (on their T2). If you wait until T4 you've already wasted all your early game advantage as you got +12 units (4x3) but they also got +12 (6x2) and from T5 onwards AI is just outrecruting you.
Always scout before you attack especially in first few turns. You need to know what the enemy has, how your forces compare and if you can win or not. You should never put yourself in a situation where you take a settlement only to be counterattacked and wiped out before you replenish. Especially early if you only have 1 army and loose it it's a disaster.
Make sure your frontline settlements can repel an attack by a full early game crapstack. For that you usually need about 10-12 units depending on faction, plus a strong general, preferably heavy cav/elephant/chariot. If your garrison is too small, build something that increases it. Or hire some mercs just before they attack.
Lastly, to avoid cat and mouse with enemy stacks, you can: set an ambush just outside your city - they will be tempted to attack and even if ambush fails, you can catch them on your turn. Or have a second general where you expect the enemy to go so he can initiate battle, while your main army is farther away but can force march to reinforce.

Yeah, I intent to play them all to the victory conditions in campaign descriptions. Shogun 2 is good, I played it a little bit a few years back. Haven't played Pharaoh as my laptop won't handle it. But Rome 2 is my favourite TW game by a large margin

total war rome 2 opens all her bueaty when only you play legenda...even very hard feels almost same as easy...but damn, legenda is totally different...and my AI enemys feel much smarter than yours...
