An Adventure to Avocat waterfall,Trinidad ! It was raining and those falls were POWERFUL !!!

- Located just a short distance off the Arima/Blanchisseuse Road is the village of Avocat. Within this village lies one of the most mesmerizing eco destinations in Trinidad - Avocat Falls otherwise known as ‘Gran Fond Falls’ meaning “the river that comes from the sky” as named by the Amerindians. Landscaped by a wall of glistening bronze rocks and lush vegetation, one can enjoy a spray bath behind the curtain of falling water that thunders down into a Jacuzzi type pool below. The surrounding rocks also make a great springboard for jumping into the deep blue-green water below.

You definitely have to check out Paria waterfall, it’s worth the trek and you can access it from blanchisseuse and there is also a trail from brasso seco.

The hike takes about 30 mins each way. It is safe for kids but there are one or two deep areas depending on peoples swimming abilities. I also recommend going on a sunny ☀️ say so the waters are more calm and less powerful

@@Trini_Surfer I want to try this hike as a first time beginner hike however I have a broken instep on my left foot. I did argyle recently but couldn’t make it to the waterfall; I made it to just before where I could see the waterfall though. The rocks just before; I could climb those coz my foot can’t flex that much to get a good grip. If u have any shoe recommendations that might assist let me know. I’m hoping for the best on this one

Persons who knows pops, he is OK but now in a home, the old man by the car park is know as tolum, Mush or Uncle. Parking is $40 per sedan, suv, pickup, $80 for a small maxi and $100 for a big maxi, and you have access to a clean working toilet and change room and running water to wash off your muddy shoes and feet, it have a barrel and a bucket you can take a mini bath. If you want to camp out in the car park with your tent you can arrange with Uncle when you come for a fee. Come with your food or cook with your cracker or by a fire side under the shed from Mondays to Friday's, or if the weekend is not to busy, there are some seeting. Please walk with a water proof phone pouch or zip lock bag to secure your mobile phone and car keys, many have lost their phones in the river. In other good news the honorable Minister for the area is getting the Blanchisseuse road fixed, and soon the Arima old road will also be fixed so less time to get to the carpark and less stress on your vehicle. Come visit and explore the natural wonders of our country. Please walk with a garbage bag on the hike to the falls and bring back your garbage with you to the carpark where you can dispose of it in our bins. Bless 🙏✌️❤️🇹🇹
