This video is in direct response to my sister's video on her family's favorite American playground. Watch her video here: • THE BEST FREE PLAYGROU... and then compare the two playgrounds and comment with your favorite.
Our kids love playgrounds and I think they have found their favorite in Germany. The playgrounds here are definitely not like the ones in America. I feel like these would be considered too dangerous in America but our kids love them. A zipline, high tower, and tall rope swing over a ditch, so much fun!

Playgrounds in Germany are so much more fun no doubt. Bigger slides, more challenging things to play with. I think any European playgrounds PERIOD are better than an American playground. when I lived in Germany when I was a kid, the playgrounds were awesome and still are from what I see in this video.

We definitely agree. The German playgrounds are awesome! Out of all the countries we have visited in Europe, we all agree that Germany is winning when it comes to playgrounds. If you get a chance, check out our video on Ai Pioppi, which is a mix between a playground and an amusement park in Italy. th-cam.com/video/3Z0GFn424NA/w-d-xo.html
Thank you for your comment and have a great day!

This is beyond cool!! In USA we would probably not be allowed to have this type of playground... "Too dangerous." But SUPER COOL!!! You win!!

The difference lies in the mentality... in Germany, it is relatively normal for children to hurt themselves (in a more or less harmless way)... if a child is told 1000 times not to touch the stove, and then does it anyway, it will be the last time. The same applies to playgrounds... it is more important to teach the child self-confidence and independence than to protect it from every scratch.

As kid of maybe 3 years I was at a German playground with my grandpa and climbed up some huge elephant made of metal bars. When i reached the top i was too afraid to go back down so grandpa had to climb up and rescue me. :D

So jealous. So much fun. Man we should really be able to wear out the kids there.

Not only does this look like fun but I bet kids in Germany get a better workout than they do in the U.S. with this equipment!

Definitely. I know my children would agree. We all love this playground.

I'm sure it definitely promotes toughness and self reliance. my youngest, my almost 2yo baby girl, tries to climb up those arched ladders on the playground and I damn near have a heart attack. my 4 and 6yo are like old hat but even they are like why bother with monkey bars? I was the same way. I'm not doing them, I'm not getting on top of them lol. I do appreciate colorful or themed playgrounds but appreciate how this German play ground is perfect for adults too. I would love to see more playgrounds that are truly suited for the whole family.

WHat a cool playground :D It is like a workout and kids get to know their physical limitations and or what they are capeable of. Id say : Better break your arm on a playground when you are young and you know your limits. Than breaking an arm later on because you dont know your body

Glad you liked the playground. We would have loved having one like this when we were young.

That is actually one of the reasons for this type of playground.
Children should learn and know their limits.

Film about a test center for playground equipment.
The children are observed and older children are questioned.
Children should not only strengthen their coordination, but also have fun.

In my area here in Germany there is a playground with a cableway lik in 1:01 that leads over a small creek. So if you lack enough impulse, you will be stuck directly over the creek like in 2 m height and get very wet. :D :D

Kind of like I did with the tire swing.... Only I found a giant mud puddle instead. The park near you sounds like a fun one to visit during the summer.

There are no openings you can fall through when walking on the top. Every Canadian playground is more dangerous than this one.

Oh, please do take care not to damage anything. These playgrounds are typically not made for the weight of an adult.
